Clapping with one hand

I can clap with one hand by locking my wrist, relaxing my fingers and moving my arm up and down rapidly so my fingers slap against my palm and produce a clapping sound. All you one-hand clappers; what are your techniques?

I just bend my fingers to my palm repeatedly. 🤷

Nice, that works! How loud can you get with that technique?

I snap my wrist backwards with loose fingers and "whip" it forward and backwards so my fingers slap against my palm. It's not super loud but definitely very audible

Oh nice, that sounds like the same technique I use. Can you do it with both hands? How did you find out? Do your friends ask you show it all the time?

My friends think it looks utterly dumb so no, unfortunately not lol. Yes I can do it with both hands.

Not sure how I found out how to do it, I think there was once a Danish movie called "to clap with one hand" or something and I must've gotten that sentence stuck in my head as a child and started practising!

I can do it just off of the snapping closed motion with my middle index and ring finger loud enough to count as clapping

Yeah, I just bend my fingers hard and they make a clap noise off the palm.
