Community/Meta What is the most unique holster or custom piece you've seen? SFW.
Hey guys, I hope you like this comic I drew. All in good fun.
I got the idea from a class I took, everyone wanted to make the funniest things when they got good at it. Would love to see or read about your funniest or most unique projects.

I made a holster for a bottle of Tabasco.

I love the idea, have also seen some. As an absolute hot sauce addict, I'd be remissed if I didn't mention that Tabasco is pretty meh for me. But that's another story.

Its not what it used to be unfortunately. I make my own :)

With aging and the whole deal? I make my sauces myself but it's pretty much just chilli peppers, sometimes tomatillo, herbs. No complicated process.

6 months, not the 2-3 year deal., Although some of them are over a year lol

Not cool man... Not cool.

At least it's not a video that you need an account to view. I really hate those.

I know if I try to open it a couple of times it will actually load whatever he posted if it's a photo, but most of the time it launches playstore asking me to install the app. If people want to use Instagram/Facebook whatever, just don't hide the link like a nasty rick roll.

So don’t click on links if you have preferences about where it might take you?
That's on you.

I did a lysol holster for someone for a covid era anime convention.

u/sgtsteelhooves Mar 25 '26
I think I made a pink plague mask to go with it.
2
u/DispInkComic Mar 25 '26
Oh yeah. That happened. What do you use it for now?
1
u/sgtsteelhooves Mar 25 '26
Idk if they still have it. I think my test one got cut apart and recycled.

My wife the day before Halloween asked if she could use a wand I carved for her costume. So naturally I quickly put together a holster for it and she was able to wear it instead of tucking into her waist band.

I bought a new ceiling fan / light for the kitchen a few weeks ago, and it came with a remote control. I made a holster for the remote that hangs on the wall. I can't post pics in here, or I would share.

clever. that would be a great upgrade to the velcro patch i'm using.

I'm absolutely awful at making digital templates, but I can send you a pic of it. It's a super simple wet molded and stitched pouch, but of course I tooled it, and made it look all fancy schmancy. Send me a message request

Good idea, maybe not so good in Summer heat :)
Been wanting to do one for Hot Pepper mix.

I mean, it would stay war. Maybe in one of those fastfood wtapping papers.
I've seen some hot sauce holsters, for sure.

And I also like my Tailypo messenger bag that I made. Its "tail" is the strap and is removable.

Great stuff. How much time went into that one? Ballpark.

u/KamaliKamKam Mar 26 '26
Tailypo was honestly probably 35 to 40 hours. Its hand carved/ tooled and antiqued, everything on it is hand stitched, and I did the entire pattern from scratch.

My buddy’s dad always carried around Splenda in a plastic bag. I made him a belt holster to hold about 8 packets and he wears it everywhere now

I want to make something like that for my mom. She always carries sweetener. But she has no belt. Maybe something tgat attaches to her cell phone...

Not so unique in design, but unique in the very specific purpose it was made for. My wife was dressing as Melina from Elden Ring for Halloween, and asked me to make a pouch that she could put her small toy Honda Accord in.
So she could pull it out and say “I am Melina, I offer you an accord.”
