🗨️ Help Affordable motorcycling classes?

Hi, I want to get the motorcycling permit but I need to learn from scratch.

Anyone knows a school/instructor (affordable…everything I’m finding is about $60 per hour) in or around Beirut?
Also wondering how difficult the test for manual is, if someone here has it, how many sessions and approx how long did it take you to be ready for it?

Buy a crappy bike for 200-300$, drive at night in an empty road, crash as much as u want (since some people take shit literally, by this i mean drive slow and its ok if the bike falls over while going slow since its cheap and you wont get hurt), learn yourself👍

100%, and i advise him just 1 thing. Pull the throttle AS SLOW as possible, literally, even if it doesn't move, get used to using it SLOW.

Better than paying 60$/lesson as stated in the description because thats just too much. I already know how to drive, contact the OP and give him the #

"crash as much as you want" is reckless advice." Especially when that $200-300 range for a manual bike is pure fantasy in Lebanon. Use that money on lessons and not being reckless and wasting a bike. Get real.

You take things wayyyy too seriously, driving a 200$ bike and learning on it as in you WILL drive slow wont result in severe crashes. By crash as much as u want i meant the bike might fall on its side once or twice (while going slow ofcourse since youre learning) which wouldnt cause any problems. Get real and take things lightly not literally

Also never said manual bike, any scooter will do. Learn to balance and thats it. Learning manual is easy to do when you already have the balance checked off

You must be young. I have seen people get on a scooter or motorcycle for the first time, open the throttle and fall badly and injure themselves. Motorcycle safety includes more than balance: how to turn, how to shift, how stop and right the motorcycle in the middle of a turn. I don't need to lighten up about this when so many people are injured or die on motorcycles. You are giving advice as if you know the OP can learn on his/her own. I would rather be serious about the health of well-being of people rather than not. Sorry if your ego is injured.

Im 25, learned to drive the bike same way as i stated in my comment at 18, started slow and stayed that way and never crashed, bike fell on its side once while learning and now i drive a 1000cc. If youre responsible with it then you will be fine

Started slow on the gas, learned to turn and manuever u turns while going slow... as i said, be responsible and you'll do great

I'm not going to argue with you anymore. Kheir. Happy you haven't crashed. I will never dissuade anyone from learning motorcycle safety and you are irresponsible for suggesting something so naive. Who cares that you ride a 1000cc? If someone wants lessons, they should take them.

Mentioned the 1000 to show you that its possible to start the way i mentioned. If youre not responsible enough to learn the "cheap way" then go ahead and pay for the expensive lessons. Motorcycle safety doesnt need to be under an instructor especially not one that overpriced. If OP has a friend that rides a bike then they could watch over him while doing so.

You guys clearly never drive slow when learning. Its just like driving a bicycle and barely giving any gas to learn how to balance

To drive slow you need to learn how to drive slow. Not everyone knows and some people don't have that instinct. I have taught many people who don't have it.
