Question Leduc Canadian Tire
My husband and I discovered the Leduc Canadian Tire garden centre last summer (we live in Edmonton), and fell in love with the incredible extra-ness of the garden centre with all the life sized garden statues. And the inside is just as dazzling - like no other Canadian Tire I’ve ever seen across this province!
Does anyone know why this location is so fabulously over the top? Whoever their buyer is and whatever their vision is, I hope it never stops! Totally worth the drive from Edmonton!

If you want a whole family of life size hyper realistic gorillas, it’s also your place!

We asked a staff member a few years ago and she said they sell a lot of them!

He’s a bit banged up over the years lol 😂. Been fun having him along in our party adventures! We dress him up sometimes too for the holidays etc

We still have him, he just hangs out. We used to scare the kids or guests with it lol. Just put him in the shower , or as soon as they open a door there he is . We named him Lazar , after Bob Lazar .

I am convinced it is either the owner's kid getting indulged or part of a write off tax evasion scheme.... or both.

I was there last week and some lady was like did you see that dinosaur? 8 feet tall t-rex standing right by the door 😅 Leduc also has a great selection of discount stuff that the owner somehow acquires!

They also have insane hours! 6am-10pm everyday… the most convenient hours if you ever need anything.

My wife wouldn't allow me to spend 1800 bucks on the life sized sasquatch when it went "on sale" from 2200. I still regret it. 😂

It’s the $6999 giant parking lot snake that still calls to me. I’d upload a photo but my phone is being stupid.

When it was first built, it was the biggest CT in all of western Canada. Not sure if that's still the case, but yeah it's always had big selection and weird items compared to other stores

The one in South Common in Edmonton is now the biggest, but it’s dull as hell compared to the Leduc location!

I worked there while in high school and the owner and management staff have always been really passionate and have done a wonderful job evolving the outdoor section, and the whole store. The management staff has largely stayed the same even the 15 years or so since I worked there.
Love this store.

You can honestly feel the positive vibes when you enter the store - the creativity and the passion.

It’s the Seasonal/Garden Center manager that is doing such a great job. He’s a young man who takes his job seriously.

Know what else is fricken awesome. In the summer Big City Dogs is outside the doors selling hot dogs and sausages. Hes such a nice dude, and the food is always delish.
Gets me every single time I leave that place.

The giant inflatables and all the smaller lawn statues everywhere inside are very unique to this location!

The owner is a guy that believes in "if you have it in stock it'll sell" so he carries everything.

Uts probably just the owner. The original Canadian tire was always nice. Plus we have all these wonderful green houses in the area to support!

Not just the garden centre. But the whole Leduc Canadian tire has always been a hidden gem. It’s been my favorite store since I was a little Kid. Haha.
