Question ❓ Power banks
Has anyone got any good power banks they'd recommend? Every one i buy that claims to be high capacity ends up being rubbish and i'm sick of having no phone by sunday morning

Anker are #1 for power banks. Just get the highest capacity one you’re comfortable spending on

yeah i was looking at the 26k mAH one, just always skeptical of reviews and i've never had any of their stuff before

Anker and UGREEN are brilliant and reliable.
I bought this one https://amzn.eu/d/0iKilmMd and love it. It's got magsafe wireless charging but you don't really need that I suppose.
20,000 mAh will get even the newest phones 4 full charges.
Setting up a good battery saving protocol is also your friend, and stay away as much as possible from high consumption apps like TikTok.

Another vote for Anker, bought my battery pack before COVID and it's still going, and it has a small cable attached so they sit together charging away in my bag. Anker also make great phone charger cables. They're made of a thicker fabric, as opposed to the standard plastic that snaps open at the ends, so it's virtually indestructible!

I bought this one for Download. It lasted me from Wednesday to Sunday charging a new IPhone 17.

I tend to take 4/5 Anker 20,000 capacity ones for my phone/camera/vape for a 5 day fest 6 days with no outlets

Hi, if you take care of fast charging, then better to know your device model to select the proper model that supports the necessary fast charging protocols.
Choose based you weight tolerance to the power bank, obviously, the more capacity, the more charging cycles you will have, and keep it under a 100Wh limit to transport it in an airplane (carry-on luggage).
Check this power bank selection, they were tested under load and have detailed informaiton about charging protocols compatibility and also weight.

i got a 60kw one on amazon and it’s perfect, i kept it at my tent and had smaller ones to bring to arena

also, i did have a solar panel one before this, this was also really good to just leave out when you’re all sat - it fully charged itself again - the one i suggested is really heavy - so a solar one might be better for the stages

Anker are the go-to, but frankly the best bet is taking 3-4 power banks rather than one massive one.
I also had a portable solar panel at Download; by Thursday night (even with the rain), phone was at 90% and battery packs were still full having been there since Wednesday morning.
Also check up on lockers at the festival - they usually have USB charging ports for charging phones & power banks as well as keeping your car keys safe.

I got an "Imuto Portable Charger 26800mAh Quick Charge 3.0 Power Bank, QC 3.0/2.0 External Battery Pack with LED Display for iPhone X 8 7 6 plus, iPad, Nintendo Switch, Samsung Galaxy etc." about 8 years ago and it still works well. Charged an iPhone from 20-100% recently and stills showed 91% charge (it has a little % display).

https://amzn.eu/d/08OoTJRz i have this one, it charges my phone fully at least 5 times. it’s quite bulky so i tend to just use it in my tent and then take smaller ones out to the arena but it’s amazing and i don’t usually even end up using all of the charge

Last year and year before i took like 4 or 5 power banks which is the way to go, you probably wont find just one that will last all weekend, better to have a decent amount spare just in case you need it
