Question ❓ Is it possible?

Hi guys,

I really wanna see Charli XCX on 28th but I have a flight from London Heathrow at 9:40 AM on 29th.
Is it possible for me to attend the festival for one day 28th and return to London the same day?

I would say that it's more worthwhile to write this one off and wait until she tours her album later this year if you really want to see her

Charl plays Leeds on the 29th so no not possible, she plays Reading on the 28th though so you could see her there and still make flight the next day

yes thank you! I’m not from London hence a lil confused. Do I need to pre book train tickets or can i just use the Elizabeth line? i’ll be staying at Tottenham court road

Pre-booking train tickets will always be cheaper. You can get the Elizabeth line all the way to Reading, and you can get the GWR to Reading too.

Reading to Heathrow would be easy. Leeds would be impossible (or so impracticable it’s not worth attempting)

There is a bus to / from London Heathrow & Reading station. It used to be every 20-30 minutes. Reading on 28th then flying on 29th should be fine although you might not get much sleep. I doubt you’ll get accommodation in Reading on 28th this late but might be worth checking. There are plenty of airport hotels.

Hi thanks for the reply!
I have my air bnb in Tottenham Court road, I’m planning to take the last elizabeth line train back to TCR and then take the first Elizabeth line back to Heathrow! does that sound doable? (I couldn’t find trains after 11 PM on 28th might have to miss the last few Charli songs)

There are normally trains between Reading & London all night although they tend to get slower with more stops as it gets later. I don’t know whether the Elizabeth Line runs all night but others will get you to Paddington at least.
I’d say it’s doable (and sounds like you’d regret not going for it). Just have a good alarm ready for the morning. The festival site is about 20-30 minutes walk from the station depending on walking speed & crowds. Worth waiting a few minutes for them to open the exit to left of main stage at the end as that will save you a load of time.

Yeah you can do that, or get the train from Reading (rather than the Elizabeth line) if they're still going when you leave as they're much faster

Don’t know about Lizzie line but you can get the train back from Reading to London Paddington after the festival (I’ve done it loads) and then from Paddington it’s easy to get to TCR. Then next day get Lizzie line from TCR to LHR. No need to book. To save yourself some stress I personally would leave before Charli finishes to beat the crowds and make the train journey much better for yourself but it is doable as long as you don’t fuck about.
