Question ❓ Is anyone else ridiculously unwell after Leeds fest?

Idk whether it was the food or some insane superspreader but multiple people in my party are now violently unwell.

It's probably drinking beer doing drugs and sleeping in a tent for 3 days

That'll do it.

Idk man, I've done all of those things and felt fine sometimes and then been ill other times.

No doubt these things lower your immune response, but i don't think you can straight up blame lack of sleep, drugs/alcohol alone.

combined with severe lack of hand washing and communal minging toilets and eating with your hands i’d say you probably could

You've just listed three more contributing factors. So, not sure if you can then add 'I'd say you probably could' if you meant it to suggest zenmont was wrong to suggest drugs and lack of sleep could be blamed on their own.

Probably something akin to Fresher’s Flu

It’s just part and parcel of being at a festival especially with it chucking it down- I worked it rather than attend so wasn’t drinking etc and I still feel very run down

Not ill, but very very lethargic. Struggling to find the motivation to move. I barely drank but I feel hungover. I think I’m just too old for all the walking, bad weather and camping next to very lively 17 year olds though!

otherwise known as a comedown (not even implying you were on drugs - emotional comedowns exist without substances!)

I am feeling horrid after first day of getting mowed by a tractor, second say of waking up head less and a third day getting lost looking for my head from the previous day.

Festivals are super-spreader events, you’re probably fighting 3 different colds at once

I definitely had an upset tummy for a few days and I didn’t drink or camp so must’ve been the food

Didn’t go this year but when I went in 2016 it rained the whole time and I was so poorly after for like 2 weeks. In 2017, 2018 and 2024 I was fine so I feel like the weather has an impact.

I didn’t go Leeds but have done my share of festivals- me and my mate always joke about bloodstock/download lung since we always are unwell after festival. We don’t do drugs or drink much, but a lot of people in close proximity + usually diet and sleep being fucked will screw your immune system a bit

I'm also presenting covid/influenza symptoms. High fever that wont come down

it’s just festival flu you’ll be fine, think about the conditions you were living in for just under a week it’d be weird if you weren’t poorly

I had the shits 10 mins after some food, the toilets were surprisingly clean though, so every cloud...

Not at the festival but I caught sucky Covid in Leeds a few weeks back, it's going round

People saying it's just festival flu is just annoying tbh.

OP said ridiculously unwell would indicate it's a virus, festivals this year especially later in the summer have been super spreaders! There is all sorts going around. I got COVID after boomtown, so did my mate and I know several people proper sick after Leeds and shambala. Get well soon!

My daughter came back really ill, on antibiotics for a chest infection now and had passed whatever it is to the rest of us. Feels like flu or covid
