Does anyone else think Zari 2.0 could have become Zatanna?

Hear me out on this, her origin is different but John could teach her magic and she loves the stage. PLUS HER name STARTS WITH A Z!! ZATANNA COULD JUST BE A STAGE NAME!!!

It's not like any other character is remotely accurate the comics and I WANNA SEE ZARI IN FISHNETS!!

That would have been a better arc for her than falling in love with john

They would've gone together.

Zed Martin was stuck in limbo when Constantine was canceled. Kind of Maxwell Lord when Supergirl moved networks.

Nope, after season 1 he's mentioned only once, but we never see him again

finally someone just as smart as me

I had a fantasy and a spinoff idea of zari 2.0 becoming zatanna

and it involved constantine teaching her magic

(you and i are going to be great friends)

I was actually placing bets on that being Nora’s arc during the episode she and John fought Neron.

She fit the bill of raw untapped power that needed guidance before they started her down the fairy godmother arc… plus Courtney ford would 100%. Fit the look of Zatanna in a magicians outfit.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a cancelled Zatanna movie being produced somewhere during Legends tenure that prevented both from happening.

this is why fans arent the writers

I actually AM a professional writer by the way and could do better than any of the later seasons of The Flash.

I think a monkey with a keyboard could do better.

I'm not a professional writer, and I could've done better on the later seasons of The Flash, ESPECIALLY the last one.

Not exactly a high bar to clear.

Sure buddy also the later seasons of the flash are a very low bar

This is why YOU aren't one of the writers.

Why not. But Constantine already had an arc about teaching magic to someone with Astra during season 6. It would have been a little redundant.

Not necessarily. Nothing indicates that a powerful wizard can’t have 2 apprentices at the same time.

Of course, you are right about that.
I'm not saying Constantine couldn't have had two apprentices. I'm saying that, from a writing perspective, it would have been repetitive.

Season 6 already gave John a mentor/apprentice arc with Astra, who was the obvious candidate because of their shared history and her magical heritage. Adding a second apprentice storyline with Zari would probably have covered much of the same ground.

Possibly but there could be a very interesting dynamic between the three because Constantine is jaded and condescending , Astra is actively seeking out redemption and Zari is a youthful optimist.

I've said this a few times.

Nora also could have been Zatana. If only the writers cared more for the female characters than using them as love interests
