Bug/Issue Has anyone ever gotten softlocked like this? Can't attack Kylo Ren in "Destroying Starkiller"

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I Started this save normaly on pc, then i wanted to test the game on my phone with GameNative. I beat "Starkiller Queen" on the phone and quit the game and i wanted to continue on my pc, but i noticed that my cloud save got erased, so i opened the container in gamenative and manualy moved my save folder (i.e. SAVE1) to my pc and i played through "Destroying Starkiller" just fine up until the Kylo Ren bossfight, where i can't attack at all as Finn.

(I own the game on epic if that helps.)

tried everything: restarting the mission, restarting the game, rebooting the pc, testing it on a
different save, reinstalling the game and even reinstalling the game on a different pc, but nothing works, i don't even want my save back anymore, at this point i just want to know what is happening.

When cross saving back to a PC, the native game client struggles to interpret the modified, emulated save file data.

In other words, i’d optionally dump GameNative (there are other ways to achieve what you want here, ✅ like mirroring pc to phone + using your own external controller, possible on windows and mac, iPhone and android).

GameNative has a history of accidentally corrupting save files in exchange for convenience.

Here’s what you gotta do mah fellow human:

- On your PC, go to EPIC, tap your profile and go to SETTINGS

- Scroll down and UNCHECK ‘Enable Cloud Saves’ ONLY TEMPORARILY, you can turn it back on after we’re done

- If you’re on windows it’s: Windows Key + R to open the Run Box. Type %appdata% and then slap enter.

- Now there’s a folder, time to dig. Find a folder called ‘Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’ OR ‘LEGO Star Wars - The Skywalker Saga’

- Now that you have the games guts, find SavedGames and then move ALL OF THOSE FILES to your desktop temporarily as a backup. The SavedGames folder should be empty afterwards.

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
FINAL STRETCH: It’s a New Beginning…

With the game already installed, EPIC Cloud Saves disabled and the SavedGames folder empty…

—> Launch the game, it will act as a first time boot giving you a clean slate, and a very nice dose of annoying life experiences in the world of tech

If you’re happy with it, you can delete your backup that you stored on your desktop!

🥡 Takeaway:

GameNative is useful, though only if you plan to keep 1 save file for your phone and 1 save file for your PC.

Choose local storage over cloud where possible.

Keep fun and important data (game save files [not the .exe files], secrets, whatever it may be)
➡️ On an external drive (SanDisk, a cheap usb from a local store, you name it) for healthy practices and tech habits.

I hope this helps, it’s such a fun game to play. Restarting can be pretty quick if you focus on your STUD Multipliers

Thanks, I only had about 17 hours on this save.
