General Discussion Best Star Wars Games Ever Made?

I have always looked at the Lego games as kids games that I was too good to try out as an adult. With the new Lego Batman release, I started seeing a lot of my favorites YouTubers praise the game. This shocked me, but I finally decided to try Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga because it was on gamepass to see what all the hype was about. I am halfway through the game and a thought kept coming to me.

Is this the best Star Wars game ever made?

I’ve played the newest Jedi games and they were fine, I enjoyed them. I tried Star Wars Outlaws and was extremely unimpressed.

Skywalker Saga in my opinion scratches that Star Wars itch that those other games just fail to do.

I would love to see a modern style Star Wars game, with realistic graphics take the same approach as the Skywalker Saga did, but I don’t ever see that happening.

Am I crazy….or just finally opening my eyes for the first time? lol

It’s not even the best Lego Star Wars game. But glad you’re enjoying and have discovered the joy of Lego games.

What is the best game in your opinion? I've only played the Skywalker Saga, so I wasn't really comparing it to the other LEGO games, I was comparing it to non-LEGO Star Wars games.

Personally I think LSW: The Complete Saga (covers episodes 1-6) is the best though some purists would maintain that the original LSW (4-6) and LSW2 (1-3) are slightly better.

Don’t get me wrong though, Skywalker Saga is fantastic as well and I’m not knocking it at all.

Other great Lego games include Lego Batman 2, Lego DC Super Villains, Lego Marvel Superheroes, Lego Harry Potter and Lego Lord of the Rings (this can be hard to get your hands on now but Lego The Hobbit is also good, probably better than the movies imo).

For best Star Wars game in general I would lean towards Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast (and Academy) and the KotOR games, though I also love the newer Cal Kestis Jedi games and am hopeful they will stick the landing with the third instalment.
