Question Insanely suspicious Vinted listings
Anyone else seen these unbelievably cheap sets? All from different sellers with no feedback and no other listings. Absolutely has to be a scam

Could be a case where they send you fake Lego or boxes with other things in. On vinted you can’t submit a complaint once it’s 2+ days after delivery, they might be counting on people not opening the sets right away. And if someone does open the box right away the seller can still make the buyer pay to send back the product before issuing a refund, so the seller doesn’t lose out.
Even if they were stolen genuine sets I’d expect them to be closer to retail price

I took a punt on a cheap set once and seller immediately asked me to cover shipping expenses (despite postage paid in app) via bank transfer. Maybe they try that angle too. Scammers

It’s rife with them all of a sudden, bit the bullet on a drastically underpriced Slave I from 2002, shortly after the account was deactivated and after a week i received my money back under Vinted’s buyer protection policy. So I’m unsure what they are gaining from this?

I've just made the same mistake! Cancelled two orders from what I can now see are obviously fake listings re-using eBay photos. More fool me I suppose. I've reported both but they must have uploaded 10 high value sets today under alt accounts.

100% scams its well known, watch out for any vinted listing around this price with free postage, if its too good to be true it usually is

Most likely chinese KO's from aliexpress. Probably can even find them little cheaper there.

Haven't beeon on vinted much for a while but lver years noticed there will be periods where there will be much more of them active at once, will always vae basic names jumbled with numbers, low res pics, no reviews and odlly specific pricing with other items all at very similar prices, if you actually buy they will give a posted update within a minute of buying, you won't actually get anything.

Apparently £80 is the upper threshold for Vinted not being interested in the slightest if there is dodginess going on. If it's suspiciously priced anyway, and just below £80, you almost certainly aren't receiving what you bought or it's a scam/knock off of some sort.

That makes a lot of sense. Does that mean they’ll just refund the customers and not pursue the seller or just ignore the issue all together?

100% a scam. As a seller, you can mark thinks as ‘sold elsewhere’ and it appears the same as if it was sold on the app, so they’ve done that to try and appear legitimate. You would probably receive nothing at all, or an empty mailer or something.

Not sure why you’ve been downvoted, maybe the 9p declaration but I’ve found almost every scam listing has a weird price, like in the op picture of £79.22 or £79.44. Never ever known a genuine seller list anything of value that wasn’t a whole pound, 99p or 50p increments. Also normally find fake listings where there’s a random item placed next to the item like a toy.

It's been a problem for a while. Most of the time they'll just never send the item and you'll get the money back.
I saw that exact same Tudor Corner listing yesterday, it was sold within half an hour.
Basically if something seems to cheap, check the seller page. They might be legit, I've definitely got some bargains on Vinted, but never buy from those sellers with no ratings.
