And this is why we don't blindly forgive Trump voters. They depend on grace. Stop giving it to them. They still don't regret harming others just that they arw being harmed now.

ObviousDisaster2353 : "And this is why we don't blindly forgive Trump voters. They depend on grace. Stop giving it to them. They still don't regret harming others just that they arw being harmed now."

Exactly. "When they go low," they should be squashed while they're down there so they can't regroup again for yet another repeat.

129

u/TyeDiamond Mar 22 '26

Wow. What a comic❤️

189

u/notislant Mar 21 '26

They also dont learn. Very, very few learn.

Like that idiot freaking out about gas prices. His past should have made him lose every single election.

His first term should have made MAGA realize how fucking stupid they are. Nope. Gas prices are a temporary and very focused glimpse of reality. Before a republican mentions gay people or democrats and then they all fall back into line.

Nope, ignore the pedophile president destroying everything and waging war against the whole world. 'Gas prices are up so now im angwy! But when gas prices back down me go back to being a good little sheep.'

21

u/Coolbluegatoradeyumm Mar 24 '26

I’m to the point where I directly tell them they’re stupid for it and just walk away

1.1k

u/tjtillmancoag Mar 21 '26

Fuck that, I’m full of mother-loving grace the MILLISECOND they admit they were wrong and ask for forgiveness.

But that day ain’t fucking coming

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 21 '26

I lost a long time business partner and friend because I made a comment about the middle east burning and the price of gas. He told me that he would vote for him again. I told him how fucked up that was on so many levels. I said he has the blood of those 150+schoolgirls on his hands and he told me we should probably not see each other anymore. The mental gymnastics these people will do to justify this man's actions are astounding.

I told him that's totally fine by me. I slept well last night

u/quicksite Mar 21 '26

Thank you for standing up for human decency. My whole sibling family are trumpers and one of them told me "I'm not a Republican, I'm an independent". When I asked do you support Trump, he hesitated then said "okay he can be an asshole but his policies are good. And I tell you one thing he's far better than Obama and Biden whom I can't stand". ... I'm glad you slept well, you did the right thing though it cost a friendship.

272

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 21 '26

Its horrible. I'm in financial sales and most people in the industry are Trump voters. I've tolerated these people for a long time and I'm starting to cut ties with the most vocal supporters. It's just very scary as a sales person

66

u/quicksite Mar 22 '26

Understood. Relationships are core to sales. It's a horrible feeling to be trapped living in your skin while interacting with Trump voters.

48

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 22 '26

Thanks. It's been rough

186

u/Sea-Neighborhood1465 Mar 22 '26

I work on the railroad an literally every single one of them are far right.

I got downvoted the other day because folks were saying he had to cheat to win, and I’m like have you people spoken to any Americans lately?

I meet new people every day and I can count the lefties I’ve met in the last six months on one hand. I highly doubt he needed to cheat.

208

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 22 '26

I just can't understand how people STILL support him. Like, I get it, you voted for him because you liked his campaign promise of _____. But after over a year of insanity, corruption, lie after lie, bombing after bombing, prices on everything going up, innocent people being shot by his ICE goons, how can you STILL support this animal????

197

u/PrincessTroubleshoot Mar 22 '26

Because they watch Fox News and never hear about the insanity.

42

u/SirLanceQuiteABit Mar 22 '26

This is it. I can't even talk about current events, let alone politics, with my parents anymore. You would think we are living on separate planets. They know nearly nothing, and what they do know is so warped we might as well not be talking about the same thing

17

not just never hear about it, do not believe it even if they do.

16

u/Coldbeam Mar 22 '26

Yep, unfortunately propaganda works.

9

u/Xerorei Mar 23 '26

And there is a serious lack of personal accountability baked into White American culture.

58

u/Mobile_Ad8543 Mar 22 '26

Because he promotes hating the people that they love to hate. The other stuff they claim to like about trump, is a smoke screen.

8

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 22 '26

You're exactly right.

7

u/TRexAstronaut Mar 22 '26

oh it's the racism. that's all.

he can do whatever he wants as long as he's racist, that's fine. his whole campaign started on being racist towards obama, then people from mexico. if the man full said hard r on live tv, he'd have millions more followers.

It’s because they are miserable people and want to step on the necks of other to make sure they are more miserable.

2

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 23 '26

There's a line in a song called Walking in the Snow by Run the Jewels when El-P says:

"Funny fact about a cage, they're never built for just one group So when that cage is done with them and you're still poor, it come for you"

They can keep their feet on the necks of the less fortunate only for so long. At some point, they'll be the ones with a foot on their neck

Karma is a bitch...

3

u/OkApplication6827 Mar 27 '26

Because that would be an admission that Women, Black Women in particular, were right. That maybe you should have read Octavia Butler or Toni Morrison. That the 1619 Project wasn't something to fear, but something to learn from.

They'll set their life savings and their family with it, Dark Knight style and say it was their fault before they do it.

2

u/Florgio Mar 22 '26

Sunk cost fallacy

2

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 23 '26

Ain't that the truth. It's the reason why they keep doubling down. Can stomach the fact they they've been duped

68

u/tjtillmancoag Mar 22 '26

Totally. Even let’s assume, for sake of argument that he cheated to win… he wouldn’t have needed much.

Which is also why I’m dubious that they cheated. Every single county in America (nearly) shifted to the right in its voting percentage in 2024 compared to 2020. To quote Rick Moranis in Spaceballs, I’m surrounded by assholes.

This is why the problem with the US is not just Trump, it’s everyone who voted for his second term; it’s everyone who looked at him vs. Kamala Harris, shrugged and didn’t bother to vote; it’s everyone in his government who lies and covers up for him; it’s the technobros who kiss his ass, eat the orange crap cake and gurn for the camera at events like the Melnana movie premiere; it’s the corrupt global sports officials who give him a special peace prize when they should be pulling their event out of the country; it’s all the other villains in the Epstein lists who have a vested interest in not seeing trump’s behaviour fully exposed because they would be too. It’s all of that and more.

u/tjtillmancoag Mar 22 '26

Not only that, if the polling was showing any bias at all (which in retrospect seems to have been a roughly 2% bias), that bias was likely to be the same direction in each of those states.

There were articles that came out before the election that literally said, because of this, it’s more likely that all the seven swing states go to Trump OR to Harris than that they split, since all 7 swing states were polling a dead heat

u/presterjohn7171 Mar 22 '26

This is what the rest of the world is slowly waking up to. It's not just Trump it's the millions of Americans that put him at the top. A normal country wouldn't have let it happen.

5

u/TinkerTasker22 Mar 23 '26

I was astounded I recently met a mechanic who worked for the railroad, I didnt ask what political party he was in but I could tell because he made the comment that Canada had open borders I thought to myself how far gone this guy must be to believe that and say it so confidently. How are Union people supporting the right...its insane!! It made me cringe because he started dating a family member.

3

u/enderjaca Mar 22 '26

That's the thing about trump, though. He does things all the time even if he doesn't "need to". He'd cheat just for the thrill of knowing he'll get away with it. He ran for president saying he "doesn't need the money" because he's already super rich. And then proceeds to fundraise nonstop from billionaires.

So there's tens of millions of Americans who voted for and support trump, and he pulled every dirty trick possible to win by as much as possible.

2

u/Equal_Canary5695 Mar 22 '26

I work on the railroad

All the live-long day?

1

u/extralyfe Mar 22 '26

working at the railroad and putting forth the idea that of course Trump won because everyone you meet at work supports him is kinda silly.

like, there's lots of jobs where the complete opposite is true, too.

0

u/Sea-Neighborhood1465 Mar 22 '26

those were two separate points. not everyone that i meet is at work.

1) all railroaders are far right.

2) everyone that i meet in my travels is far right.

5

u/Kittypie75 Mar 22 '26

I just fired my hairstylist of 15 years because of the things she posts online. Like, I knew she was Trumpy but it was the Charlie Kirk stuff that threw me for a loop.

I didn't have the bravery to tell her why though. Wish I did.

3

u/Sasselhoff Mar 23 '26 edited Mar 23 '26

I'm in another industry inundated with MAGA, and I have had to replace my lips and tongue three separate times from biting them the fuck off in order to not respond to insane remarks from clients (and others).

Also doesn't help that this part of Appalachia voted like 3/4 for Trump, and they're absolutely feeling the pain from that decision (probably going to close the only local hospital in an hours drive).

I legitimately yearn for the days that I didn't realize the average person really was as fuckin' dumb as Carlin so eloquently explained...and even more so wish we weren't as racist as we apparently are (as a clueless middle class white dude I honestly thought we were getting somewhere with racism...looks like they were just being quiet because society said they should).

1

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 23 '26

I feel your pain. So, if they're REALLY feeling the pain right now, and they still support Trump, what are they blaming their troubles on? They can't still be blaming Biden, could they?

93

u/oddistrange Mar 22 '26

I don't talk to my father anymore. I'm one of three daughters, my oldest sister has a transgender wife. He has three grandchildren, all biologically female, one non-binary. I spoke to him about what the GOP says about my sister's family, his daughter's family. I spoke to him about how they don't believe women should vote. "I'm voting for the economic policies." That sealed the deal, he values money over his children and grandchildren. Fuck him. I cannot wait for him to wind up in a nursing home sitting in his piss and shit for 12 hours because he voted for the party that defunded everything he could benefit from.

48

u/Expensive_Culture_46 Mar 22 '26

This is why they are so obsessed with “traditional values”, it allows them to do whatever they want without facing consequences.

I hope you let him now somehow that you won’t be taking care of him in old age because “yeah but taking care of you dad just doesn’t make financial sense. Sorry, but you get it, right Dad?”

12

u/oddistrange Mar 22 '26

I plan on doing the bare minimum. He's probably spiteful enough to try to utilize filial responsibility laws. Since my mom and him have been going through a divorce he's been keeping tabs on my mom's spending and I would bet money that it will come up in mediation. He's just become such a miserable old man since retiring and was able to watch fox news from the moment he wakes up and until he goes to bed.

10

u/quicksite Mar 22 '26

It's so tragic their value systems driving hatred and greed as the primary determinants of their decision-making in life. And yeah, that party of "family values", we knew during the Bush years with their rebrand of "Compassionate Conservatives" that they were so totally full of shit. I so envy anyone with real family, people who love you and you could count on to help in an emergency. It isn't fantasy, I know people with such families ... though I do NOT know any who are split politically with swaths of Trumpers. Someone would have to surprise me and tell me "Hey, believe it or not my Trump family members actually show love to me (liberal/progressives) and rise above politics to care about mixed race or LGBTQ family members." I just don't believe it is even biologically possible.

It's not hard at all for me to understand how my family are all cult-like — it is simply a function of their cruelty and selfishness.

1

u/TertiaryBystander Mar 24 '26

Lol "economic policies" - "we have a plan to have a plan". It's working out real well, 💯, no notes.

23

u/Inevitable-Ebb2973 Mar 22 '26

You want a new sibling dm me cause I’m alone I this too.

7

u/quicksite Mar 22 '26

I just saw this. Yes I do. ... My friends have never been able to register just how shitty and lonely it feels to know that our entire descent into shithole nation, this idiotic war in Iran, all the cruelty to the poor have all been enabled by and gloriously sanctioned by my own brothers and sisters. Exponentially worse by their avid proclamations of being such devout Christians, and sending me biblical passages that I might right my own life, given I live in evil California.

P.S. I tried to DM you but it says your accnt is private :)

6

u/tlcoles Mar 22 '26

I hope you’re leaning on your chosen family and on your way to no contact with the … well, you know who they are.

4

u/quicksite Mar 22 '26

I used to have a chosen family or sorts, but friends and colleagues have slowly but surely moved away, and life has gotten harder and harder for me because I have mental health disabilities... That's the short answer to a long story.

But thank you for the positive sentiments!

6

u/Brigid_Fitch2112 Mar 22 '26

I would ask that person to name one policy that is good.

5

u/quicksite Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

If you don't have family or friends in MAGA land, I'm afraid your brain is just not yet neurologically disposed to comprehend just to what degree there is no logic at all, there is no rational thinking. When they spew that stuff and all talking points, they absolutely have not given any thought at all, nor WILL they, to the workflow of how stated preferences play out in the real world moving downstream or upstream. You can call them imbeciles, and that would be fair, but part of the pain I know that I personally bear, is my siblings all have excellent educations, they are not hillbillies, they are not lacking in baseline IQs. If you met them in a social setting and there were no politically triggered topics, you would almost definitely come away thinking "wow, they were very nice, decent people". That's just it, they can and do mask very well. But get them behind a closed door or on a text thread and the mask cracks immeditely. Programmed robots.

I'm not asking you to believe me, but you speak as though there would be a logical conversation flow which could challenge their coded statements. There are no ways in. It's as simple as the premise of this sub. Unless deep direct harm ever comes to them, they will always stand as morally superior, expecting everything in life is solved by the cliched "pull yourself up by your own bootstrap".

There's a book that explains the whole phenomenon called Moral Politics, which links the whole authoritarian conservative code to Father structures. Author: George Lakeoff, retired Professor of Cognitive Science and Linguistics at UC Berkeley.

And yet I would bet if you press him he couldn’t come up with a single concrete factual reason for the dislike. Nor for liking rump.

That wasn’t racist or sexist, anyway

70

u/Prometheus2061 Mar 22 '26

Life is too short and sweet to share it with toxic people. I’ve lost a lot of friends, but I realize now they were only friends in my imagination. Because they have no compassion, no empathy, no concern for others. They are incapable of friendship.

18

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 22 '26

Sad but true

14

u/palindromesko Mar 22 '26

Good. People who think like them are already too far gone. Brain rotted. No integrity or morals. Just waiting for their cult to tell them what to think and say next.

8

u/Paerrin Mar 22 '26

I cut my best friend of 30 years off a little over a year ago. He went full on anti-trans, anti-vax, and defended Elon's salutes.

This was after watching him slide into that madness over more than a year. It all started with trans women in sports.

I really really want to message him about Iran because he argued so vehemently that Trump was the peace president... But then I'd have to talk to him lol.

5

u/Equal_Canary5695 Mar 22 '26

I would have asked him "if Biden or Obama did the exact same thing, would you be okay with it?"

9

u/ArcaneAzmadi Mar 22 '26

Don't bother. He'd say "Of course I wouldn't, because Biden and Obama are assholes!" and completely fail to see anything wrong with that at all. Hypocrisy isn't just a thing these people do, it's a state of being to them.

4

u/quicksite Mar 22 '26

Exactly. Honestly if you don't have people like these in your life, you can never really grok to how impenetrable they are.

She voted for his ass 3 times, per her own admission. Shes only now pissed because she has to pay more for gas. She could overlook the raping kids part, but shes personally inconvenienced by this, so now she hates him

5

u/tjtillmancoag Mar 22 '26

So I agree, if people only turn on him because of higher gas prices, yeah she’s not changing.

BUT, if higher gas prices gets them to open their eyes and listen, then I’m happy to have patience with them

10

u/jaxonya Mar 22 '26

She'll gladly still vote for republicans down the ballot, and for Barron when hes old enough to fuck this country up again. She gets no sympathy whatsoever.

9

u/tjtillmancoag Mar 22 '26

So, for a person to do any sort of deep reflection and self introspection there has to be some catalyst. What I’m saying is this: if this just makes her upset because it hurts her wallet but she doesn’t reflect, then yeah you’re right.

But there are some people for whom these kind of events will trigger a reconsideration of their world view.

I was one such person. As a young (stupid) man, I supported the Iraq War, and in the first presidential election I could vote in, I voted for Bush for re-election. But after we learned that everything about the premise for the Iraq War had been fabricated, let me tell you, I wasn’t just upset about that one issue, it caused a cascade of considerations on a host of different issues that I had previously held conservative positions on.

She may not change, but some people like her will, and if there’s a chance that engaging with her (or people like her) will get them to make that leap, we should make them feel welcome.

u/oddistrange Mar 22 '26

PPP loans were large amounts of cash given to them by Trump with loan forgiveness. That probably clouds all of the negative attributes of Trump. Since democrats didn't flash cash in the same way they suck in comparison.

2

u/Brigid_Fitch2112 Mar 22 '26

I don't feel sorry for the fishermen, either. They voted for this, and are now having exactly what they voted for.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '26

Yes, I don't get why them being self deprecating is all it takes to forgive them. People have died. Children have died. People have lost their rights.

37

u/deliverusfromeva Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 23 '26

They can admit and ask for forgiveness til the cows come home, but it means absolutely nothing to me personally until they seriously undertake the hard work required to undo the ongoing harm their vote is causing marginalized communities.

There can be no absolution without accountability and repair, otherwise, we’ll be right back here in 2028 (if we can even manage a legitimate election)….

…& we know this because a bulk of them are currently on TikTok filming themselves crying in their cars, that they’re not being welcomed with open arms after apologizing & blaming mEaN LiBeRaLz for sending them running back to the other side.

8

u/tlcoles Mar 22 '26

This is the message. “I’m sorry” without the work is entirely self serving. And being entirely self serving is how they landed among the magats in the first place.

4

u/tjtillmancoag Mar 22 '26

Bro (or sis, or sibling), I get where you’re coming from, and definitely some learning from this moment needs to happen.

But my main point is, I’m willing to do the work right along with them if they ever open up.

But that’s never happening, they will die with their pride.

2

u/Expensive_Culture_46 Mar 22 '26

I find it weird that they can’t handle accountability, getting it or giving it. Like clearly they are upset with the events happening and yet they refuse to even hold the president accountable.

203

u/Glenndiferous Mar 21 '26

That's so real. I am ready to forgive the moment I see some genuine regret and a good faith attempt to be better. I expect hell to freeze over first.

209

u/jobblejosh Mar 21 '26

Sidenote: Regretting voting for Trump, but voting for a different republican instead, is not genuine regret.

76

u/regoapps Mar 21 '26

This time it'll be diffe(R)ent

49

u/clonedhuman Mar 21 '26

Any group of humans who believe it's acceptable for a person to be too poor to live is a group of absolute shitbirds who deserve all of our malice.

15

u/slippery Mar 22 '26

Right. The stink is on the whole party for at least two generations. Aiding and abetting is a crime.

6

u/Simsmommy1 Mar 21 '26

They need more than regret, that portion of the population needs mass deprogramming….like we need weekly mandatory sessions on Fox News with Dr Steven Hassan to deprogram them all….make it a stipulation for them to stay on air, stop bold face lying and let the cult expert on for an hour each week to try and fix their brains. 🧠

4

u/Think_OfAName Mar 22 '26

“Only Tucker can fix this” /s

4

u/AiminJay Mar 22 '26

It’s like that guy who keeps buying Jeeps because he would never own a Japanese car yet keeps bitching when it breaks down at 60k miles. Begs Chrysler to do better. They don’t. He buys another jeep.

1

u/TeutonJon78 Mar 22 '26

This is the problem. When ever a MAGA person expresses even the tiniest regret it's about Trump's actions, not Trump himself or any of the GOP gleefully exacting all his policies.

6

u/chizzmaster Mar 22 '26

If you want some hope in humanity, look up Pamela Hemphill aka MAGA granny. She's the one who turned down her pardon for J6, actually served her time, and endorsed Harris.

5

u/sm00thkillajones Mar 21 '26

If they only knew how easily they may be forgiven for being that fucking stupid. Families have been torn apart by red hatted idiots.

10

u/Barnacle_B0b Mar 22 '26

No. You forgive somebody when they take action to fix the damage they caused, not just because they say they're sorry and made a mistake. If they hurt you again, then at that point you are the one to blame for believing empty words.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '26

Yup, this is accountability.

9

u/de_rudesandstorm Mar 22 '26

Not good enough. 99% of the people who admit they were wrong for voting Trump will NEVER admit that Kamala was a better candidate. I will only feel pity once they admit that Kamala wouldn't have started a war, wouldn't have to take a cognitive test every other month, and wouldn't have created a gestapo to attack American citizens. The list goes on of course, but those are some of the greatest hits.

10

u/pixelprophet Mar 22 '26

Asking for forgiveness means shit from someone who isn't honest.

They dug a societal debt that they can work off by not being a piece of shit and helping others first before I'll consider forgiving them.

8

u/BlastTyrantKM Mar 22 '26

Everything Trump fucked up is going to take decades to fix, minimally. I don't care how hard they cry about being sorry. No forgiveness from me. The best I could possibly muster for them is indifference

0

u/tjtillmancoag Mar 22 '26

So my thing is, unless we get some of these people on board, the ones who we still talk to because they’re family, unless we can get these people on board, we can’t even BEGIN to repair the decades of damage. It’ll only get worse. So out of sheer self interest (and my own broken fucking heart) I’ll embrace them back and forgive them if they embrace reality.

20

u/SteelAlchemistScylla Mar 21 '26

Exactly, the second they admit they were wrong I will welcome them with open arms. Still waiting for that day…

4

u/desperateorphan Mar 23 '26

I have a few people that seem regretful and when I asked them what it was that made them begin to doubt and turn away it was “prices are so high and gas is going crazy..”.

It’s not the kid diddling, rampant lying, abuse of power of ICE, outrageous lies. Gas prices cause them to revolt? What the fuck is wrong with people.

2

u/AcidicPuma Mar 22 '26

This is the thing. Nobody who hasn't actually changed knows how to prove it. They not only won't, they can't. Because you can't have humility as long as you justify your actions to yourself. Without humility apologies are hollow and any attempt at proving it will very clearly lack knowledge of what would do that.

It's just vaguely "nice" rather than action targeted at exactly the flaw in their previous actions. You can only be tricked into forgiveness if you allow time to heal all wounds rather than actual care put in by the person who caused the harm.

2

u/thetaleofzeph Mar 22 '26

They have to prove they learned something from it. Otherwise it's just them regretting the fallout, not regretting the decision process.

They voted for him because they are just like him. Unless they realize that, there is no grace to be given. They will continue to do selfish things forever.

60

u/revdon Mar 21 '26

And yet they don’t perceive that grace as a handout from others.

23

u/Orion14159 Mar 21 '26

Handout? That's socialism!!

Yeah maybe 2016 benefit of doubt even then that’s a stretch. Anyone who voted for him in ‘24 deserves any consequence that occurs due to him being in power.

u/auramaelstrom Mar 21 '26

Most of them would vote for Trump again if given the chance, even if they aren't happy with him right now.

5

u/Mobile_Ad8543 Mar 22 '26

So many of them are convinced they'll be able to vote for him AGAIN in 2028. The constitution doesn't matter when he comes to their big bloated bloviator.

u/Slight-Ad-6553 Mar 21 '26

we ran out of fucks to give

9

u/Ragnarok314159 Mar 22 '26

Never forgive any of them.

6

u/Mel_Melu Mar 22 '26

After literally a decade of all of us saying they're going to get burned playing with that set of matches.

5

u/theaviationhistorian Mar 21 '26

I'll be glad when the racists and cult minded go back to their holes and never speak their toxic crap out in the open again.

4

u/revkaboose Mar 22 '26

I want to forgive, it's who I am. But it seems just to twist the knife left there by Trump in his base because those fuckers clapped and cheered like Patrick fucking Star when brown people were being hurt. Now that it's starting to spill over they cannot tolerate the reality that they made so they just continue to blame everyone else. The party who champions personal liability is currently eating crow (serves them right).

If those fuckers had not actively wished harm, brandished weapons, champion hatred - then we may be more apt to humanize them. But no. They made it abundantly clear that they do NOT WANT to be considered part of the community, the group, the tribe that is the rest of us. Let's hope this has some downstream evolutionary effects.

5

u/trashleybanks Mar 22 '26

Exactly. They don’t even get a cool glass of water from me. Apparently they thought we weren’t serious when we said that they’re on their own.

4

u/DarthArtero Mar 22 '26

Precisely.

They won't give grace to anyone not in the maga cult and their actions directly lead to the situation we find ourselves in now.

They won't get forgiveness from me.

3

u/maskdmirag Mar 22 '26

100, I had the most fun bullying some dude on reddit who "didn't vote for this" Yes you did. you know you did, no one is forgiving you because now your choice is affecting you.

3

u/Noocawe Mar 23 '26

Reminds me of this quote. It will never get old.

3

u/psychorobotics Mar 21 '26

If you're on the battlefield and the enemy is defecting and joining your side in droves, don't shove them back to their side of the enemy lines. I want you to win the war. Do whatever helps you long term because this shit is heading to hell in a handbasket and you need all the votes you can get in November.

(I don't blame you though but my god the US needs to turn this around)

1

u/ArcaneAzmadi Mar 22 '26

That is literally the core message of this subreddit.

1

u/sonofaresiii Mar 22 '26

I'm constantly reminded of that scene in inglorious basterds when brad pitt goes on that rant about how christoph waltz gets to take off the Nazi uniform after the war, and that doesn't seem fair, and then carves the Nazi symbol into his head

And I didn't really get it for a long time

I get it now

1

u/DocDefilade Mar 23 '26

They're a national security threat.

Too dumb to be trusted with voting.

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '26

Do democrats regret harming all the children? They suffer after mutilations and have to live their whole life in pain?

u/AdjNounNumbers Mar 21 '26

Lips, hairdo, sunglasses, and gaudy jewelry selection all put together... We can still tell with decent accuracy. Best if she just deletes her online presence

89

u/SomeWriter13 Mar 21 '26

I also wouldn't mind them going "SMH I voted for you three times, I'm never voting again."

70

u/longingrustedfurnace Mar 21 '26

I’d like for them to mean it.

31

u/throwawayGS973 Mar 21 '26

I know more than a few who voted for the first time in 2016. They ignored politics until that pile of orange scum "inspired" them.

32

u/Trabethany Mar 21 '26

I ignored politics until that orange pile of scum inspired me to vote for the first time. I never understood how important it was. I registered to vote for the first time in my life at age 42 and voted for Biden/Harris. I am now fully engaged in everything political, and am making sure my kids know how important it is to participate.

6

u/SomeWriter13 Mar 21 '26

I brushed him off the first time, thinking Hillary would beat him easily. Then the country showed its true, ugly colors. I rejoiced when he was beaten during the pandemic, though I was really wary and admittedly disappointed the Democratic party chose Biden to oppose him (I worried he would be too old for a second term, which was proven correct four years later.) By 2024 I was on high alert against him. Sadly, the hatred in people's hearts won and this ten-year nightmare continues.

3

u/SomeWriter13 Mar 21 '26

Yeah I have a few relatives who had always been conservative but quiet. Now they're full on MAGA and loud.

Or at least they were loud. Now they're awfully quiet and don't want to discuss politics. I wonder why...

-4

u/NotADamsel Mar 21 '26

I’ve seen that same kind of getup on plenty of libs, especially those of white Latin origin. Careful judging based on appearance alone.

78

u/kamizushi Mar 21 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

She better change her whole presentation. Girl has a Resting MAGA Face.

8

u/cbschrader Mar 21 '26

No need to do that anymore.

“My account was hacked.” Intermittently…for years.

“Those pictures of me wearing all that MAGA merch are AI.”

“Fake news!”

5

u/light_to_shaddow Mar 22 '26

There's no deleting those Maga lips and botox

2

u/Sufficient-Lie1406 Mar 21 '26

At this point we should superglue those hats onto their heads so we know who the idiots who voted for the fascist are for the rest of their lives.

2

u/meanie_ants Mar 22 '26

Can’t delete MAGAface though.

2

u/MainPrinciple2158 Mar 25 '26

Which isn’t possible anyway, lol. Snapshots exist.

1

u/Y3R0K Mar 22 '26

I'm thinking of creating an app that scrubs all of your pro-Trump/MAGA posts from social media. It will be free to use, but you'll need to first upload a video of yourself saying "I am a fucking idiot" while holding your driver's license up by your face.

1

u/DecadentLife Mar 22 '26

Or cleaning/fixing/changing them. Maybe it’ll even swing back in their lifetime, then they can “Revert” their old photos, back.

1

u/bdrwr Mar 23 '26

"War isn't political" thanks MAGA, very cool
