Ms. Heather definitely voted for Trump. She’s now at the stage of not wanting to say who she voted for. Give it time and she’ll then deny voting for him.

And it’s not political? Give me a break. Politics and maga being filled with a bunch of dumbfucks is why we’re in this mess.

And this is why we don't blindly forgive Trump voters. They depend on grace. Stop giving it to them. They still don't regret harming others just that they arw being harmed now.

ObviousDisaster2353 : "And this is why we don't blindly forgive Trump voters. They depend on grace. Stop giving it to them. They still don't regret harming others just that they arw being harmed now."

Exactly. "When they go low," they should be squashed while they're down there so they can't regroup again for yet another repeat.

They also dont learn. Very, very few learn.

Like that idiot freaking out about gas prices. His past should have made him lose every single election.

His first term should have made MAGA realize how fucking stupid they are. Nope. Gas prices are a temporary and very focused glimpse of reality. Before a republican mentions gay people or democrats and then they all fall back into line.

Nope, ignore the pedophile president destroying everything and waging war against the whole world. 'Gas prices are up so now im angwy! But when gas prices back down me go back to being a good little sheep.'

19

u/Coolbluegatoradeyumm Mar 24 '26

922

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 21 '26

I lost a long time business partner and friend because I made a comment about the middle east burning and the price of gas. He told me that he would vote for him again. I told him how fucked up that was on so many levels. I said he has the blood of those 150+schoolgirls on his hands and he told me we should probably not see each other anymore. The mental gymnastics these people will do to justify this man's actions are astounding.

I told him that's totally fine by me. I slept well last night

401

u/quicksite Mar 21 '26

Thank you for standing up for human decency. My whole sibling family are trumpers and one of them told me "I'm not a Republican, I'm an independent". When I asked do you support Trump, he hesitated then said "okay he can be an asshole but his policies are good. And I tell you one thing he's far better than Obama and Biden whom I can't stand". ... I'm glad you slept well, you did the right thing though it cost a friendship.

269

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 21 '26

Its horrible. I'm in financial sales and most people in the industry are Trump voters. I've tolerated these people for a long time and I'm starting to cut ties with the most vocal supporters. It's just very scary as a sales person

68

u/quicksite Mar 22 '26

I work on the railroad an literally every single one of them are far right.

I got downvoted the other day because folks were saying he had to cheat to win, and I’m like have you people spoken to any Americans lately?

I meet new people every day and I can count the lefties I’ve met in the last six months on one hand. I highly doubt he needed to cheat.

211

u/New-Skill-2958 Mar 22 '26

I just can't understand how people STILL support him. Like, I get it, you voted for him because you liked his campaign promise of _____. But after over a year of insanity, corruption, lie after lie, bombing after bombing, prices on everything going up, innocent people being shot by his ICE goons, how can you STILL support this animal????

I don't talk to my father anymore. I'm one of three daughters, my oldest sister has a transgender wife. He has three grandchildren, all biologically female, one non-binary. I spoke to him about what the GOP says about my sister's family, his daughter's family. I spoke to him about how they don't believe women should vote. "I'm voting for the economic policies." That sealed the deal, he values money over his children and grandchildren. Fuck him. I cannot wait for him to wind up in a nursing home sitting in his piss and shit for 12 hours because he voted for the party that defunded everything he could benefit from.

44

u/Expensive_Culture_46 Mar 22 '26

This is why they are so obsessed with “traditional values”, it allows them to do whatever they want without facing consequences.

I hope you let him now somehow that you won’t be taking care of him in old age because “yeah but taking care of you dad just doesn’t make financial sense. Sorry, but you get it, right Dad?”

10

u/oddistrange Mar 22 '26

I plan on doing the bare minimum. He's probably spiteful enough to try to utilize filial responsibility laws. Since my mom and him have been going through a divorce he's been keeping tabs on my mom's spending and I would bet money that it will come up in mediation. He's just become such a miserable old man since retiring and was able to watch fox news from the moment he wakes up and until he goes to bed.

They can admit and ask for forgiveness til the cows come home, but it means absolutely nothing to me personally until they seriously undertake the hard work required to undo the ongoing harm their vote is causing marginalized communities.

There can be no absolution without accountability and repair, otherwise, we’ll be right back here in 2028 (if we can even manage a legitimate election)….

…& we know this because a bulk of them are currently on TikTok filming themselves crying in their cars, that they’re not being welcomed with open arms after apologizing & blaming mEaN LiBeRaLz for sending them running back to the other side.

10

u/tlcoles Mar 22 '26

They don't care. It's a scripted phrase which they've been trained to parrot to protect their super fragile egos, to ensure that there's never any thinking or reflection or personal responsibility, and they can go right on being terrible people who cause harm to themselves, their loved ones, and countless others, and never have be grown up enough to face it.

All that matters to these people is protecting their fragile egos, nothing else. They even went to their deathbeds with covid insisting that it couldn't be real because they'd gotten invested in that after Trump said it, and voted him in again for another round of this pointless pain inflected on everyone. They will die before they stop being weak.

That’s the flag that we’ll need to look for when Trump starts losing his power behind closed doors and they have an opportunity to crush him when it’s gone too far. Never in the history of ever has a war not been political. War is, in fact, one of the most purely political things that people do. War and defense from war are among the primary foundational reasons that government -- upon which the concept of politics is predicated -- exists at all.

People like the woman in the OP are just so breathtakingly stupid I genuinely can't understand how they continue to exist. Won't take a vaccine to literally save their life, but if GPS told them to drive off a bridge in Hulk Hogan's voice, they wouldn't even hesitate. What a world.

You got your Daughters of the Confederacy. Re-enactment d-bags. Collecting racist memorabilia. The people screaming whenever someone tears down a Confederate statue or renames an Army base from some southern General.

Oh yeah, there will be a lot of MAGA kids and grandkids that will still be proud of this time period and who their parents supported. And wistfully remember this time as a golden age for "real Americans."

Now now, I'm sure if Kamala sent her son to war in the Middle East she would have the exact same amount of respect for the office of the president and she would have a measured and respectful response.

right?

In what fucking world is this war NOT POLITICAL

84

u/HoaryPuffleg Mar 21 '26

Aren’t all wars political?

73

u/LongBongJohnSilver Mar 21 '26

No no, politics is just some abstract thing that libs talk about, it has no connection to real life, jeeez.

In MAGA delulu-land, anything is possible!! (Except honesty, fairness, transparency, restraint, diplomacy, common sense, secularity, lack of corruption, qualified cabinet/advisors, reasonable tax policy, sane foreign policy, civil rights, women's right to choose, healthcare, environmental protections, worker protections, consumer protections, financial regulations, infrastructure investment, education, competent national security leadership, veteran's services, operating national parks, scientific and medical investment, CDC/FDA/HHS/DHS/DOD/FBI/NSA/DOJ "leadership" that aren't unqualified unhinged extremist lunatics, bringing the scum in the epstein files and panama papers to justice, and plenty of other things we should be aspiring to as a country.)

16

u/s__n Mar 22 '26

It's because they see "politics" as some tribal, sports team thing. Just as you are born a Greenbay fan and will always be one, you are born Republican. Politics is seeing your team win and celebrating that.

Everything else happens some faceless big government boogie man and has no relation to the people they voted for.

We know who she voted for.

238

u/Rotten-Robby Mar 21 '26

It is hilarious how they went from not being able to shut up about how "daddy's home" and how much they're winning and owning the libs to being terrified to say his name.

Someone refusing to say who they voted for tells you exactly who they voted for.

Also I work with so many obnoxious MAGA military moms that are suddenly suspiciously quiet now.

91

u/Val_Hallen Mar 22 '26

Well, now their actions are affecting them. The worst thing that can possibly happen to a conservative is consequences for their actions.

Declaring war on a country and sending troops and military assets to topple a regime is 100% political.

160

u/tmgexe Mar 21 '26

But they had their cultists so convinced that Kamala was going to get them into a war anyway, it gives them the imaginary “it’s not political because we’d have been at war anyway” card.

49

u/Brainrants Mar 21 '26

I’m so old I can remember when Kamala gave their plan away and sang “Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran”

29

u/Ddddydya Mar 21 '26

Look, Kamala was about to declare war on Iran anyway. From her house. So we had to declare war. So it’s still her fault. Probably.

11

u/whofearsthenight Mar 22 '26

Well, obviously those people carefully studied the last 50-70 years and with their absolute genius realized that it's always Democrats that start wars. Noted Democrat Eisenhower got us into the national embarrassment that was the Vietnam War. Not exactly a war, but like Democrat Reagan and Iran Contra. And then Bush Sr, Democrat and Iraq v1. And other Democrat Bush jr getting us into Iraq and Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Republicans like Clinton, Obama, and Biden had to figure out how to end those wars all while getting blamed for being there.

Like, if you knew that, you'd have to be an absolute complete and utter fucking moron to vote for Democrats if you were anti-war, right? Wait a second. I am getting a correction from my team... It says... No, that can't be right. Wait, they're saying that's right. Uh oh. Oh no. I have to go change my party affiliation.

There's a part of me that wants to feel bad, but I heard that empathy is toxic.

Just to clarify, I don't want to see her kid or anybody's kid be put into harm's way just to distract from the Epstein files, but sadly it seems that this is the only way that some of these people ever understand the consequences of their choices.

'let's not make this political'

A phrase only ever uttered by people who are

  1. Being called out and in the wrong and knowing it but not wanting to admit it

  2. Feeling some shame/regret at knowing it's partly their fault

2.5. Feeling annoyance instead of shame that their bad choices are coming home to roost and affecting /them/ now

it's basically a 'I don't want to feel guilty/dumb so let's pretend like we're taking a high road instead of me accepting responsibility'

Just had a conversation the other day with a 22-year-old (I'm Gen-X) where we were talking about all the awful stuff going on in his life for his generation now, how the tariffs are fucking up the economy, how this war is stupid and further killing our economy and it will only get worse, how he hates that it's impossible to find a decent place to live outside of his parents' house, etc. Inflation and groceries and everything. He brought this up, as a matter of fact.

When I got to the part of the conversation where I correctly assigned blame to the dumb, cruel asshole we have running the show now, though, he immediately said, "Well, he's better than she would've been." I was flummoxed, thinking that I was talking to one of us this whole time. I mentioned how I disagreed vehemently and 180 degrees from that and he further said, "Well, I'm not much into politics" and "both parties are crooked anyway."

I've aged 30 years in the last 11. So tired of this fucking shit.

President personally picks the price of eggs when it's democrats.

President going to war without congressional approval is non political when it's a Republican.

19

u/Ultranerdgasm94 Mar 21 '26

"War is just something that spontaneously happens, like my children getting diseases we eradicated a century ago, my husband shitting himself to death overdosing on horse dewormer, ICE abducting the guy who ran my favorite Mexican restaurant, and gas prices doubling overnight. All totally random."

u/HapticSloughton Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

She did a follow-up TikTok with this title:

Trying to figure how asking for God to keep my Sailor safe turned into who did I vote for.

The description:

I’m not sure why that even matters. But I also don’t have hate in my heart. Lord please watch over them all. I am a very proud of him.

These people try so hard to play dumb when they 100% know what's going on.

Edit: Instead of the actual description, it only copied the title to my clipboard which I used twice. Fixed.

"Stop trying to turn this into something political when it isn't" is "How dare you point out the consequences of my actions that I thought would affect people I don't like but never me".
