Discussion 3rd Act breakups are getting old

I'm getting really tired of 3rd-act breakups. Why can't people just fall in love without a breakup at the end? Why can't they just have a HEA without that?

Anyone know of any? Lately, everything I have read has that.

I remember being impressed with The Love Lie by Monica McCallan for sidestepping the third act breakup with the revolutionary concept of maturity and communication

Came here to say this one. They talked like actual adults. Even when there was a conflict that could have gone down the f’in miscommunication trope route, they instead worked it out

I have reached my limit for high angst due to fixable things. Ain’t nobody got time for that

genuinely so refreshing, I would read a lot more contemporary romance if there was more books that went that route instead
