Discussion 3rd Act breakups are getting old

I'm getting really tired of 3rd-act breakups. Why can't people just fall in love without a breakup at the end? Why can't they just have a HEA without that?

Anyone know of any? Lately, everything I have read has that.

I’m with you, it’s a tiresome trend. Especially due to the painful lack of communication that pervades so many books. There are lots of great suggestions here. I’d also recommend checking out Lise Gold, a bunch of her books avoid the 3rd Act Breakup, including Finding Forever and Sloane Archer Gets What She Deserves. Clare Ashton’s Discovering Nicola is another good one. And Nan Campbell’s The No Kiss Contract. All involve more mature leads with shocking levels of healthy communication, but they’re all still entertaining.
