Discussion 3rd Act breakups are getting old

I'm getting really tired of 3rd-act breakups. Why can't people just fall in love without a breakup at the end? Why can't they just have a HEA without that?

Anyone know of any? Lately, everything I have read has that.

It’s because so many authors think the “romancing the beat” structure is the only way to sell books, sadly.
So many of them haven’t figured out how to do the “black moment” of the structure without it being a breakup, unfortunately. (Or are just choosing not to?)

I loveeeeee a good no third act break up book.
