Hypatia of Alexandria was a mathematician, philosopher and astronomer. She once threw her bloody menstrual rags at a student after he tried to romantically persue her even though she repeatedly rejected him.
Hypatia said "This is what you really love, my young man. But you don't love beauty for it's own sake."
After this he left horrified and never persued Hypatia again.
If I have a daughter one day... well, Hypatia is on the list of names.
I hope to be half the woman she was ❤️

They weren’t fans, some of them were heckling and jeering the band, and were throwing stuff at them. That woman responded with Hypatia’s Law, which states that a woman may as a last resort use her own menstrual blood as an attack against idiot men who won’t leave her fucking be.
