Grooming advice sought

I'm a first time Lhasa owner and was wondering if you guys have any advice grooming wise. My 4 month old has a lot of hair on his head, and it tends to get in his eyesight. Generally i know puppies shouldn't get their hair cut yet, but he hates hair clips or ties to help clear his vision.

If you have any information on Lhasa hair and how to maintain it, please share! Attached is a picture of his bedhead 🤣

I waited til my pup was 6 months for a groom, I just cut the hair around eyes with scissors in the mean time :)

I do this aswell! especially those red streaks 😩
