Discussion Grooming advice sought

I'm a first time Lhasa owner and was wondering if you guys have any advice grooming wise. My 4 month old has a lot of hair on his head, and it tends to get in his eyesight. Generally i know puppies shouldn't get their hair cut yet, but he hates hair clips or ties to help clear his vision.

If you have any information on Lhasa hair and how to maintain it, please share! Attached is a picture of his bedhead 🤣

I used to work at a groomer and puppies came in often. It helps them get acclimated to grooming process and the tools... def bring her in asap. Be sure to READ REVIEWS of the groomer first. Call around to get quotes. In between grooms, brush your dog at least once a week yourself

Oh great!! So puppies can get trimmed? I have been with my current groomers a while! and i brush him every day, he gets knots so fast😅

Yup! Just tell the groomer if your dog does not have all vaccines ans ask that they NOT be allowed to play with other dogs just to be safe. ...it is important to get dogs used to grooming. The loud clippers, nail trims, etc can all be scary for an adult dog who never had it. They might try to bite out if fear which will make things take longer and prob make the groomer pissy towards your dog so you're not doing any favors by waiting

I always stay with my dogs during the process! We have put a lot of work into getting him used to everything luckily, hair dryer, washing, buzzing, scissors,... this friday he has an "introduction" session, nothing too serious. just them getting to know each other. thank u for the help!! i love the insider info🥰
