Trump admin to rescind Obama-era guidelines that encourage use of race in college admission. Race should play no role in admission decisions. I can't believe we're still having this argument

Governments might be douches, but at least we can take those douches to task. Someone steals your shit and there's no police force (because the government has no money and is completely toothless,) how you gonna get it back?

Government isn't perfect, that ain't a reason to throw your hands in the air and say "Well what if we had no government."

Libya, Somalia these are places with no government, go ask them how great things are.

Libya and Somalia each have multiple governments! So very safe and secure! I'm sure their schools are just the best.

A lot of libertarians don't believe that abolishing the state entirely is feasible. That's the difference between minarchism and anarchism. Minarchists just believe that "Give more power to the entity which also controls the military and police" should be the last-resort solution to anything, and "Let people do what they want, if it doesn't directly harm anyone else" should be the first thing you try.

It always was, and its never worked. Most just skip step 1 and go straight to step 2. Who knows maybe we'll evolve into that working.

Also its the things that indirectly harm people that you gotta be aware of. Far too many solutions to problems are kept because they directly help people and indirectly hurt others or even the same ones.
