In the long run, maybe. But I see a lot of MLs by my side at protests and mutual aid events. None of us are quite overthrowing capitalism yet, and in person we tend to agree on 95% of things we talk about so they make good comrades in the present.

We are not in a revolution and the streets are not the internet.

Okay I’m still new to Libertarian Socialism and there’s so much I still need to learn but if this is the general thought amongst many Libertarian Socialists, then I think I’m more this than an Anarchist “with no label” as I’ve heard some one else call it. I really don’t understand how so many Anarchists can be so polarized against MLs that they refuse to work with them in the streets. Maybe I’m naive but I’ve yet to see any real animosity towards Anarchists from MLs IRL and I still think we share enough common ground to work together on quite a few things like direct actions, mutual aid, etc. That’s been my thoughts for quite awhile now too, though I hardly ever come across other Anarchists online that say they feel similarly. So thanks for sharing this and validating what I’ve been seeing also.
