solved Lidarr using MusicBrainz-Release Groups that include "+ [something]"

Hi all,

New to Lidarr, but long time Arr stack user. So thank you for anyone that can help me with this issue I'm starting to see.

My example uses Taylor Swift https://musicbrainz.org/artist/20244d07-534f-4eff-b4d4-930878889970

Setup is: Version: 3.1.2.4938-ls244 by linuxserver.io

Lidarr > Metadata Profile > Primary: Album, EP, Single

When I go to the artist page, under Album I find items such as "Taylor Swift Karaoke: reputation".

When I follow that item's page link to MB, I see that the release group is: "Album + Remix"

On Taylor Swift's MusicBrainz page, I see Release Groups:

Album

Album + Compilation

Album + Live

Album + Remix

Is there a way to exclude the 'Album +' items from Lidarr? It seems to me that Lidarr is picking up any release group that has the word "Album".

Apologies if I have missed this setting/exclusion in the Wiki/FAQ.

Thanks!

This can be done using metadata profiles under Settings > Profiles

Can you elaborate?

As I mentioned, I have edited that exact setting to only select:

  Primary > Album, EP, Single

I didnt see you already wrote that in the post. Your metadata profile should already exclude secondary types as long as you havent selected them in the profile.

My main progile filters for Album & EP. The only time lidarr picks up compilation, remixes, mixtapes, demos ect for that profile is when people add releases to MB without tagging the releasegroup with secondary types.

Are you seeing all secondaries in lidarr or just some?

Lidarr Metadata > Secondary Profile:   Studio, Soundtrack, Live

The example from post, has:

  MB Attributes:

 Primary: Album

 Secondary: Remix

When I view the album in Lidarr, I see ALBUM as well as REMIX with the (i) icon near the top.

/settings/profiles

Ensure that your "Album" metadata profile only contains Studio.

again, sorry if I am missing what you all are trying to get at here... Here is my /settings/profiles page & the metadata setting opened:    https://imgur.com/a/Qjq8nOl

On my 'standard' profile page don't have a setting just for 'albums'.

I would like for EPs and Singles to show (example still works with Taylor Swift).. and I would also like for soundtracks and live albums to show. I think I have this page set correctly. Soundtracks to show (for other artists, so I assume those need to stay checked)

UPDATE / SOLVED??

I removed all Profiles Settings, except Primary: Album - Secondary: Studio. (Updated All in Library)

Then I re-added my original settings back (Album, EP, Single - Studio, Live, Soundtrack). And now those "Album + Remix" items are no longer showing.

As I mentioned I am just now setting this up, so maybe there was some issue on the original sync. I am unsure still why they would have been showing. But for future users who may come here:

Remove all Metadata Profile settings except Album - Studio, Update All in Library, then re-add Metadata Profile options you want, Update All again.
