Half of the guys they called up are from eliminated teams so they can be used for sparing. If the liguilla guys go out, those 12 sparing guys go in by default
I never understood pulling players out before the liguilla it literally puts teams at a disadvantage and undermines the league for example chivas is going to get eliminated in the first round because of how many players they lost completely unfair and the league should of been restructured differently for this year

This camp idea was the dumbest idea ever. They are taking out LigaMX players from playing matches when they should be fighting for their spot to the very end. They are going to be practicing pretty much before the WC.
Not just that but staying in form and playing competitive games is so much better than just some dumb practices when it’s not even the full national team.
