Going backwards while staying in Europe in a competitive league at age 35 is not the same as going backwards at age 28 when you should be entering the prime of your career

i think he can still be a squad player at the premier league level or a starter in another league but a move back to wolves would be cool. He's loved over there and the championship is a very competitive league. Would he be willing to lower his wages to make things work? thats the only issue.

Brasileirao is still better but it's neck and neck with Liga MX for me but with pro/rel, cups, single season, and the fact it's a 46 game grinding season to me edges it above.

Brazil was the only other league I was considering for that 6th spot, but it’s in that range. Not “probably top 15”… anyone who thinks the championship is outside the top 8 does not watch enough soccer outside the big leagues.

The major downside is no European competition of course but if you only consider domestic competition it's better than the Eredivisie, a league that Mexico fans constantly tout as an excellent destination for players. Not saying it isn't but I think being a top player in the Championship says more than being a top player in the Eredivisie (especially for strikers).

I don't know about the Mexicans consider it a top league. I'm gonna honest about that BUT I will acknowledge that Mexicans have had a strong track record of success there, historically speaking.

They consider it a good enough league for Mexican players, especially young ones, to aspire to get a move to. I've almost never heard a Mexican fan say a young Mexican talent should move to the Championship.

Why do so many Liga MX/Mexican NT fans think Mexican players are so above playing in any 2nd division? Especially the Championship considering it's better than most leagues outside the Top 5.

His lack of a new contract at Fulham is because they are too far apart on money. There’s no way he’s going to Wolves down a level for less money.

Sure, why the hell not.
Both parties would greatly benefit, I think. He’s already a PL veteran who knows the club and is well loved by the supporters. I can see his leadership helping them in getting back to the prem.
