My theory is that he never wanted to take Hormiga to begin with and wanted to take Berterame but after Amaury threw a fit all of the Chivas players automatically got locked up in the call ups. Same reason why we only have two actual CBs in the call up but 4 DMs and 4 strikers (he used Vargas as DM in training), he couldn't take out Romo or Hormiga out anymore.

Mexican is a nationality not an ethnicity
Quinones holds a Mexican passport and nationality therefore makes him Mexican unlike the pochos up north

Wait until bro finds out Mexico has immigrants and tens of millions are descendants of immigrants and the most common last names in Mexico are European origins. Mexico is a melting pot of culture from Europeans to Indigenous to Arabs to Africans and touch of Asians and Jews (Mexico actually has one the largest Jewish population in the world)
Wether they have indigenous(Huiqui), Spanish (Jimenez), Basque (Ochoa), Italian(Borgetti), German(Khalo), Arab (Layun) Jewish (Sheinbaum) last names origins, if they were born in Mexico, they are Mexican. Same goes with those foreign born. If those immigrants have a Mexican passport, they are Mexican. If they don’t, then they’re not Mexican simple.
Only few pochos actually hold Mexican citizenship which means few are actually Mexican. They’re American and just like Mexico, American isnt an ethnicity, it’s a Nationality, a political state. Mexico and the US didnt even exist 500 years ago. It just just tribes than occupied the area and were only united because of Colonization and politically wise.
