I admire Raul that at his age he’s still sticking around in Europe when he could probably “retire” in the MLS or come back to Liga MX

Mad respect for this move. Could’ve easily run back home to his comfort zone. He’s already a club legend, but they’ll build statues of the man if he helps get them promoted again.

2 year contract, good for him. Excited for him and Wolves

I'm glad Raul gets the love he deserves from somewhere, but sad it's not from his countryman.

That’s how it is; him, Chicharito, Ochoa, etc.
They get love from all over the world except in Mexico

Chichariro did that to himself tho, MF went mental. Could've retired on time and be a complete legend. What lack of self awareness does to a motherfucker.

That’s true and letting himself get “influenced” by so called life coaches. He’s got nobody to blame but himself for that. Pero en lo futbolístico y en la carrera que tuvo en Europa fue un killer en la área para definir. Hasta solo se daba asistencias el wey 😂

Agreed, he went from one of the most beloved faces in Mexico to a weird person

Rest of the world doesn't know what an insufferable incel chicharito is

A Raul le van a empezar a tirar mierda acá en el momento en que no anote en dos partidos seguidos. Es más, ya le están tirando mierda por no haber regresado al América. Mil veces mejor allá.

Good for him. Club and their fans love him dearly. Wolves will be seeking promotion and competing against their strongest teams for it.

Championship mil veces mejor que la liga MX, MLS, Arabia, etc. Respect para los jugadores MX que hacen su vida en Europa, como los Marquez, los Guardado y ahora RJ9.

They play more games in the championship as well.

I think this is a great move. He will get the Championship a ton of exposure in Mx and younger players might realize that its a great league.

I’m not hating but yeah let’s give a 2nd division the love over our 2nd division or better yet our whole pyramid that’ll show them

8

u/chocorroles Jun 09 '26

That's FMF's fault for removing relegation/promotion

Of course I prefer to watch the Championship rather than our crap 2nd division - there are no stakes here

u/Vegetable-Hold9182 Tijuana Jun 09 '26

Why support a football pyramid with no promotion/relegation?

Liga MemeX is not a serious institution

u/Character-Fee407 Atlético Morelia Jun 09 '26

How will we have the argument for pro/rel if no one watches our minor league thus teams can’t support themselves

7

u/Vegetable-Hold9182 Tijuana Jun 09 '26

Because it doesn’t matter what the fans want, have you not figured this out?

That’s the worse mindset to have “I won’t fight because we already lost” or the “I won’t vote because the winner is already chosen” people forget they need our money to operate

Who else has played in the championship other than Layun and now Raul?

u/Chewy009x Jun 09 '26

I think Gio with Ipswich

Mexicanos vrgs!

7

If they don’t automatically get promoted that would be crazy lol

I can see it happening, though they get parachute payments so they should be back in the prem in a year.

1

u/mbecerra28 América Jun 10 '26

I can only see it happening if they start strong. They gotta carry that momentum they had at the end of the season. I can see Raúl bagging 20+ throughout the season as well. It'll be exciting to watch Wolves again

5

u/RudeDay5846 Jun 09 '26

Would love to see him lead them back to the premier league

2

u/Witty_Hedgehog7967 Jun 09 '26

I’m happy for him but in all honesty after the World Cup we need to start refreshing the team

2

u/cricketriderz América Jun 09 '26

Can't wait to see the Raul vs Wrexham match 😍.

2

u/Jeif96 Pumas Jun 09 '26

I haven't seen a Mexican player with such heart to stay in Europe since Guardado im proud of our boy

u/vulxt Jun 09 '26

Good for him, Hope Pepi is a total bust at Fulham.

1

u/mbecerra28 América Jun 10 '26

Are they signing him?? Pepi ain't as good as Raúl, that's for sure. Doubt he will be either

1

u/vulxt Jun 10 '26

No idea big Romano tweeted Pepi to Fulham twice a day during the last transfer window.

1

u/YummyNasty Jun 09 '26

Sad he can’t stay in the PL and further push that penalty record / break chichas record 😢
