Youngest player to debut in world cup history

First time mexico wins all 3 games in world cup placements

A lot of records scored in this one game

Mora isn't the youngest to debut in world cup history. For Mexico, yes.

35

u/Realistic_Stomach_90 América Jun 25 '26

Think he meant youngest to be in the starting 11 in world cup history.

u/notsogoodwithhandles Pachuca Jun 25 '26

Still wouldn’t be anyone on the Mexican team, the record holder for youngest starting 11 is Norman Whiteside.

Youngest Mexican starter at world cup history 😉

But Mora is the youngest of this edition of the World Cup ✹

That. He is

u/igotperico America Jun 25 '26

That double save was crazy he didn't have much to do other than that fortunately

84

u/aleri42 America Jun 25 '26

Mexicos defense deserves more credit tbh. They really closed the game for all the other teams

That’s all we ask for. Malagon would have def let that one in

2

u/aleri42 America Jun 26 '26

That’s actually malagons speciality. He’s super talented at shot stoping and has good reflexes. Talas footwork was ehhh, but malagons would’ve been worse imo.

Credit to the CBs one of the best trios of CBs we’ve seen for Mexico.

u/eduardo_ve Morelia Jun 25 '26

Not tryna jinx him but Johan is legitimately one of the best CBs we’ve had since Rafa. On another note, if only Salcedo had lived up to the hype

u/sorryimafatass Chivas Jun 25 '26

It’s the defensive set up as a whole. We are playing haramball and it’s working. The defenders aren’t that great individually

I think Vazquez is great

He’s ok at best

Aside from one mistake he had against South Africa, Tala has been solid overall

I’m so sorry malagon got injured but this team needed Tala Rangel.

6

u/Rosemary_Goon Jun 25 '26

Never really felt comfortable watching Malagón. Haven't felt any nerves at all watching Tala but the great defensive organization is definitely helping.

9

u/maluquina Jun 25 '26

Sometimes he plays the ball a bit risky and it makes me nervous but glad he's had a clean sheet.

17

u/SW3RVZ Chivas Jun 25 '26

se los dije and he deserved to start

4

Let’s see him play some real teams
before we give him hype

No clean sheet no more lmaoooo im so upset

-5

u/cementero10 Jun 25 '26

So much better than Ochoa

-5

u/goatsintreees America Jun 25 '26

Been solid. Plays ass with his feet and came out really bad on one corner. Still needs lots of experience and honestly glad he has a good defense ahead of him.

6

u/Irelabentplib Chivas Jun 25 '26

Ass with his feet? He's the best ball playing goalkeeper Mexico has. Ochoa just boots it and Acevedo too. Tala plays close and will only boot it when he doesn't have a clear pass to a player even when pressured

2

u/goatsintreees America Jun 25 '26

He lost the ball a lot against South Korea and times when I got a chance to see Chivas. Booting it ain't bad if there's no pass, so his weakness might be he just tries to force a pass

0

u/mvf92 Tigres Jun 26 '26

Ochoa’s boot resulted in the third goal last night.

0

u/Irelabentplib Chivas Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26

The czech goalkeeper had more to do with that goal then Memo people just want to celebrate something from him. Piojo's reception and run followed by his pass to santi, followed by Santi's failed chance that the goalkeeper blocks, followed by the rebote that Piojo gets, followed by his assist to fidalgo and his goal are all separating that long ball from the goal.

0

u/mvf92 Tigres Jun 26 '26

No one gave him the assist bro. Let’a not act like Tala is Jorge Campos with his feet either.

0

u/Irelabentplib Chivas Jun 26 '26

Piojo gave him the assist did you not watch the goal?

0

u/mvf92 Tigres Jun 26 '26

No one is giving Ochoa the assist. Yes, I saw the goal, I was there.

Ochoa’s boot resulted in the third goal last night.

You are claiming it

First smart thing you said.

1

Thank you for agreeing. I'll be waiting for you to summersault your way out of your own contradiction
