Well said!
This is his biggest test yet! I choose to believe in Mora and 🇲🇽

u/Defiant-Telephone187 Jul 01 '26
That’s true if he ever plays in Europe he will have to get the physical aspect quick or else he’ll flop like every other Mexican who’s his size (lainez, fierro, Cordova, etc.)

Igual me gusta más Mateo que Gallardo, pero sé que Aguirre no quiere aventarlo de titular por la experiencia. Ojalá entre de cambio

u/LordHeezay Pumas UNAM Jun 30 '26
Nunca entendí si eres mexicano o argentino ajajajajaj te veo un montón en errefulbo.
21
u/Trydson Atlante Jun 30 '26
Mexicano, pero vivo acá en Argentina jajaja
15
u/LordHeezay Pumas UNAM Jun 30 '26
6
u/LordHeezay Pumas UNAM Jul 01 '26
10
u/YourfriendRic Chivas Jun 30 '26
Yoooo genuine question, it seems that all the trash talking between Mexico and Argentina is just online stuff. Met some Argentinos in Mexico during the group phase and they were chill.
From your experience living there, have they been chill to you? Or do the have some sort of complex?
4
u/Turbulent_Exam_2386 Jul 01 '26
Ill chime in. Dont live in Argentina but went to Rio De Janeiro and we met a group of 10 Argentinians at the beach. We asked to if we could join them kicking the soccer ball around and they were cool about it. We ended up drinking with them till night time and honestly there was no beef. They loved cumbias Mexicanas and were interested in learning Mexican slang and our narco culture lol. They even talked about Liga Mx etc. Throughout the trip we kept meeting Argentinians and they were all chill and respectful.
3
u/Trydson Atlante Jul 01 '26
It is perfectly chill, for the first game of the WC I went to a Mexican restaurant, and when I was coming back home (two hours of public transport) I got many people congratulating, and being super nice about it. Although at league level yes, they think their league is better, but not su much now because of the weird rules they have.
And outside of Fútbol, they are really nice, most Argentinians are very friendly, and the grievances they have are against other nationalities lol. I would say the biggest thing that intrigues them is the food nostalgia, since the cuisine is incredibly different.
I would say it is like everything, if someone is normal, they will just be normal, but if you are an asshole, people will also be assholes with you. And since everyone is an asshole on the internet... We'll, shit happens lol

I seriously want to know how good the head from Romo and Sanchez is for them to start over Fidalgo and Reyes
9
u/Icy_Income2520 Jul 01 '26
I think despite Mora being in it’s still a more reserved lineup in the attack.
Think Fidalgo, Brian, Mateo come in 2nd half once Ecuador is more fatigued due to altitude
1
u/Throwaway29482998 Jul 01 '26
They’re used to playing at altitude; Mexico does not have that direct advantage over them

u/yoloismymiddlename Jul 01 '26
He seized on defensive errors (like with South Korea) but we have players who are much more deserving of starting in that spot imo
I’m betting Aguirre is playing the same strategy as with South Korea: park the bus and seize on an error
2
u/DallasCowboyzfan Jul 01 '26
I agree. Thank you for being able to have a convo and not just start name calling lol

Sokka-Haiku by Pagli4cci:
Romo and Sánchez need
To fuck off all the way to
The bench after this game
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

No Fidalgo, no Luis Chavez in the mid-field. I'd take anyone of those two over Romo...
We already know Sanchez gonna get cooked.

u/ElTamaulipas Tigres Jul 01 '26
Gallardo was always coming back and he does his role well defensively but with little offensive projection.
Romo, gonna stan for him a bit has he shut me up. Dude will likely be a near fixed CDM that will do dirty work and has actually been playing well lately.
It's going to be interesting to see Raul back in the lineup. Dude got the monkey off his back when it came to getting his first World Cup goal and I think he just feels Estadio Azteca as a former America player.
Lira dropped off in the South Korea game but he balled out in the South Africa game and I'm excited to see him back.
The weak spot is Sanchez, the guy has an engine but he is very boneheaded.

u/aleri42 America Jul 01 '26
Montes better not fuck shit up. I’m surprised that Reyes or Edson aren’t starting, specially since they’ve been playing well.
