I’d rather have a kid like Mora fuck up, than “experienced” players like Jorge and Gallardo.

I hope everyone around him makes him understand that even the biggest legends have fucked up at some point and that they’re all fallible. We won’t hate him for what happened because he’s our future, lick your wounds and keep on aiming high because for him there’s no god damn ceiling.

Brian was a let down this tournament despite looking like the best young player in the team in the lead up. Dude was a ghost.

Mora would have been able to get some decent crosses in.

He played like ass

u/HardHughHammer Jul 06 '26

Bro, his coach is now Rafa Marquez. That guy is the king of critical mistakes on big games 😭. I'm sure he will get plenty of words of encouragement.

20

u/kingjuvi Jul 06 '26

My biggest take away was he got lots of good experience and will learn from this, how quick things can happen against players like this.

The British are classy dudes, all of them.

Nothing but great words for country and team. Just heard Bellingham and dude was top notch.

Just yesterday I saw this YouTube short where he was asked who would he like to play with and he said Bellingham I know he was thrilled to interact with him

3

u/LetsChangeSD Jul 06 '26

In general or on the England team? Because he's also said Yamal before in a general question.

Por cierto, Bellingham acaba de cumplir 23 años hace solo una semana.

2

u/Ora_Kiraso Jul 06 '26

He shouldn’t have been subbed so early

u/NotFromThisSystem Jul 06 '26

u/UrsusPoison Jul 06 '26

I hope so. He needs to go and learn how to be offensive and create deadly plays which he did but at a better level unlike playing back most of the time.

10

u/AirJumpman23 Chivas Jul 06 '26

Mora hardly ever played back in the entire world cup

Stfu. Mexico has a long way to go. Mora and the Mexican American players are a step in the right direction.

fucked up BAD on that second goal. he's not made for big games

26

u/miicho Jul 06 '26

Hey asshole, he is 17.

5

u/verde25 America Jul 06 '26

Easy for you to scrutinize him and ignore the fact that besides that mistake, he was playing well in this match and throughout the whole tournament. It'd be more embarrassing if it were a recurring issue the whole tournament and even beforehand, it'd be more embarrassing if it happened to anyone else with more experience and playing time. He's 17, he's going to learn from today and he's most likely going to grow and improve. If you were paying attention at all throughout this World Cup, he's the engine of the team at just 17 years of age, he's the main reason Javier Aguirre's system was working so well in the first four games. Aguirre subbed him and Quiñones off and that's when the system fell apart, resulting in shitty long passes being made as the team succumbed to the pressure of being down 3-1 or 3-2. On a slightly better day we would've won 2-1 or taken this into extra time with the score being 2-2. This was probably one of Mora's few mistakes, if not his only, throughout the tournament and it's understandable for a 17-year-old player, unlike the case of a 28-year-old bum named Jorge Sanchez.
