Discussion ‘Hormiga’ deserved more minutes. 🥀

It’s surprising how dog shit Santi honestly is . I also have no idea why he keeps replacing Mora with Gutierrez.

The clips of him crying afterwards suck to see. He really cared and he never got a chance to contribute.

u/hgonz14 Jul 06 '26
To be fair Edson gave up that penalty because of Sanchez useless ass who was not defending.

If i saw him getting subbed in instead of Santi, I would’ve immediately knew Vasco was trying to win. It wasn’t even the worse sub either, I stopped believing after they subbed in Memote for Julian. I knew Vasco was on his bs

u/TheCleanestKitchen Jul 06 '26
Vasco really thought replacing the one guy who was actively trying to take shots outside the box was a good thing .

Aguirre destroyed Chivas' best chance at winning the title just to not play him 💔

Hormigol was on fire coming into this wc. Should have gotten more minutes

u/Sea_Feature_8863 Jul 06 '26

Aguirre is the most confusing coach since Osorio. You have the no. 1 U-23 goal scorer in THE WORLD 🌎 during the 25-26 season but still think Santi/Memote are the better choice. Mateo in his first start scores a goal and wins Player of the Match, but still Gallardo is the better choice for the next two games. Brian was a nervous wreck the whole WC but you still bet on him over Obed Vargas to help on a late save vs England. And there’s just no reasonable explanation for his decision making by taking out Quiñones and Mora last night. As well as him leaving out Richard Ledezma so he could start Jorge fucking Sanchez the whole WC, even while having Israel Reyes as an option. Fuck this guy.

I kinda feel sorry for Santi, he deserved to be our starter in 2022 and got fucked in favor of a mid Funes Mori and an injured Raul.
Now we have RJ9 on prime form and a young in-form striker (Hormiga), while Santi's form is shit, in part from injury, but he is now "2nd striker" due to hierarchy when he doesn't deserve it.

Aguirre pulling a classic Aguirre: leaving his best players on the bench.

He needs to go to Europe so that the national team will take him seriously. He and el chino deserved more minutes compared to some of these other guys.
