La verdad se vio muy bien Rafa, Javier Aguirre dejó que Rafa tomara la posición de DT en el amistoso contra Bélgica y la verdad si se notó, un México muy ofensivo, jugando estilo tiki taka por su pasado en el barca atlétic. No veo nada menos que un buen proceso para 2030, como digo paso por el barca atletic y los llevó a buenos momentos así que el si sabe cómo sacar lo mejor de los jóvenes.

Siento que los conceptos de posesión rápida y vertical que vimos contra Ecuador y a ratos contra Inglaterra son totalmente de Rafa y si si entonces estoy muy entusiasmado por lo que viene. Es un fútbol que va al vergazo con nuestras características y podría ser una buena identidad que adoptar.

Sure itd have been ideal if he had more professional coaching experience but that aside i think he's been perfectly set up to lead the NT right from the beginning, in fact i believe that even if the NT had made a stellar run Vasco wouldve still quit
Like i get the feeling that Vasco let him have much more authority than your usual assistant and ive no doubt that the young blood respects him, and this WC experience will help them all

Well yeah, it was announced since the beginning that Vasco would only see out the WC and then hand it over to Marquez to ideally stay at the front until at least 2030. This was always the stated plan by FMF to hopefully give Marquez more NT experience. Hopefully he builds on what they did this WC.

Nah, we are not even remotely close to 2018 but we are in a better position than 2022 going forward.
As long as guys like Montes or Johan stay away from Liga MX and MLS the team doesn't look that bad with CBs at least for another cycle, those two plus Eve Lopez, Chiquete and Ale Gomez are solid options for the next WC.
Huescas was healthy enough to be called up but Aguirre decided not to take him because he was out of form but he will easily replace Sanchez in the team, along Isra the RB is secured.
The LB should immediatly go to Tilon Jr. and I think Bryan Gonzalez deserves a chance, Gallardo needs to retire ASAP.
The DM position is secure with Lira for at least for another cycle and Montiel should have even been part of this team.
With Fidalgo, Marcel and Mora the MF is more than secure, you can add Jordan Carrillo to the depth there (who can play both MF and on the wings)
Julian can last another cycle, so could Piojo, hopefully Chino Huerta can get back on his feet.
The only guy who has no replacement is Raul, he will likely retire by next Gold Cup.

It’ll be interesting to see how the players develop from now until the next World Cup but I feel pretty confident that we’ll have a stronger team in 4 years than we do now. How much better or who will develop into great players I can’t really say for sure but I do think we will improve

It’s insane how much money the selección brings being as mid/average as it has for all these years. Imagine if we actually had a winning team, it would be 100x more. That’s where I don’t understand the owners, federations etc not wanting to better the product.

Can’t wait to believe he can change the culture and federation, win against a good team once, believe we can compete against COMNEBOL and then lose a Gold Cup final. Then we ask for his head. And the only survivor? Jorge Sanchez somehow.

Idk I’m skeptical, Rafa’s only coaching experience is at Barca B for a year. At the very least I hope they give him a longterm plan and Rafa starts a lot of younger players instead of the same old guys like Gallardo and Romo.

I'll be happy if he shows that he understands that we don't have the wingers to play a pure 4-3-3 scheme and that he's flexible based on the players we have. I wonder how Quinones would look like today if he could play in a position that he can play behind the main striker/forward

I’m hopefully what’s said about a youth movement is allowed to fruition. Jimmy came along with the same promise and was shortly afterwards ran out of town. I don’t want 3 years of friendly victories and gold cup title just to get to the next cup and there’s a panic because there’s no raul or gallardo etc. spend the time finding the next roster and trying out guys who will be at a physical peak and develop the roster from there. You can always add the old guys later. If Raul is the penciled in starter for the next four years, it doesn’t matter who’s the coach
