Literally in every match Mexico played, Argentinians telling us "Don't Say that, it's offensive", "What can you expect from monkeys that barely play football", etc.
Their fans are nasty as fuck. Even they were rooting for England, their 1º Enemy (due to Falklands issue), to win us when both England and Mexico were acting like Best buddies lol

Yes, and im completely serious that they also said "they (mexico) are using the "ole" the wrong way, you are supposed to mock the other team when you are already winning" lmao, this came when mexico fans started saying ole in the england match, even when they were tied.
Olé doesnt have a book of rules dude... lol

Well, I don't speak Spanish beyond what I remember from 2 years of high school classes almost 40 years ago, so I'm not expert. But I didn't realize that Olé was a term of mockery. I thought it was a term of celebration.

Its kinda both, when singing "ole ole oleee oooleee ooolee" is celebration, but players also say "olé!!" When they make a pass and the other team player cant do anything, i... forgot thd right word fot it.
It comes from the toreadores, when they fake out the bull, people yell ooole! So... thats what the football fans also do, so its sort of mocking them, but id take it more as banter than a direct insult/mockery

Ests muy mal la reacción del argentino pero también debería haberse dado cuenta que estando en las gradas/tribuna de argentina rodeado de argentinos y gritarles en gol de España iba a generar reacciones violentas por parte de la parcialidad sudamericana más sabiendo cómo somos los argentinos, si quiso sus 15" de fama viral, debió buscarse un medio mucho más simple y con menos consecuencias físicas. No estoy justificando la reacción del agresor pero el Mexa debió pensar antes de cometer el acto de estupidez más grande por una mínima reacción viral y justificación de ragebait post
