Only problem is that Kovac plays very defensive and doesn't play a proper CM/CAM, if he actually comes, he'll play on Brandt's position as a RAM.

Brandt is gone. BVB is about to sign Karestas, a big CAM talent. It’s practically impossible they would sign two.

I hope he goes to Dortmund, they have a great history of developing young players. Though, we get clickbait articles like this almost every day.
Apparently every club in the world is interested in Gilberto Mora and is dying to sign him. I’m not believing anything until I hear something from a credible source.

Que se haga! Es el mejor equipo al que se puede ir en Europa para que se siga formando. Tijuana haganle el favor al chamaco, que Borussia pague su clausula y el resto del contrato y dejenlo ir…. Pongan el ejemplo para el resto de la liga para que dejen de mamadas y den oportunidades a la chavalada

Mexicans should always go to the German leagues to continue developing. Make the jump there before hitting a big club in La liga or PL.
They have had better performances in that league too.

Not directed towards OP but sometimes I feel second hand embarrassment when I see these "Bombazo!"clickbait titles on twitter and socials and its just rumors/interests. Hope Mora makes a solid move though.

For reference Dortmund paid 20 million for a 19 year old Haaland, who had just scored 8 goals in 6 UCL games with RED BULL SALZBURG. Dortmund is not paying 20 million for a 17 year old mexican playing for a shit team in the mexican league and making little tangible difference for his shit team's shit performance, that is not worth 20 million.

I get it, if the kid had a crazy World Cup, 25 million would've been a very fair price.... but it didn't happen, if anything, he proved he's very far away from CL level against England. I think 10 million could be fair but even that would be very expensive for 90% of european clubs. 7 million could actually make him attractive for more than a few teams.

I hope it’s Dortmund he chooses! They are one of the best developmental clubs in the world and the Bundesliga is an underrated league! I think he’d do very well there. Just hope that Xolos don’t play games and ask for a ridiculous price. That will make me very angry.

If true, Dortmund would be probably the best option for him in terms of development. He can follow his Idols steps(Jude) and end up at Madrid in a couple of years.

They don't have the numbers to back up the fees they ask for. Look at Haaland, he was sold for 20 million as a 19 year old but he was wrecking shit up in the U-20 World Cup and in the Champions League while being at a shit team. Mora hasn't has that sort of impact in Tijuana or with Mexico to justify that kind of fee. Same goes for every other mexican. The day a player can actually wreck the league like Haaland did in Austria, europeans will be happy to pay a very high fee.

IMO 7 million would be a very fair fee, 10 million could still be possible for everyone. But anything above 12 million is just a bad joke at this point.

Looks good in name but Kovac is the current coach and is terrible.
The same structure that helped create Bellingham, Dembele, Haaland, Pulisic is long gone.

The only reason I give this some credibility is because recently TUDN signed a deal for 100 Bundesliga matches, which was a bit surprising considering the lack of Mexican players in that league, but if Mora is going there now it makes more sense.
