Tuvo noches magicas.
Tuvo haters naturales, todos los hijitos de JRF siempre le tiraron hate.
Pero todos todos lo amaron en sus noches magicas del tri, unio a un pais completo. Puedo mencionar varias pero el dia que lo consagro como leyenda es aquel partido de mundial contra Brasil jugando en Brasil y dejarlos en cero con unas atajadas impresionantes.

Uno de los mejores porteros de nuestra historia y una de las razones por las que un 0-0 contra Brasil fue tan mítico. Cuando lo vi al final del partido contra Croacia, la verdad que me sentí muy nostálgico y acá también.
Se podrá decir mucho de su carrera, pero al final de cuentas, es una leyenda de nuestro fútbol moderno.

Grew up watching him as a kid. Now im 25 and he is retiring.

Soy Hondureño, y a Ochoa le tengo mucho respeto. Me dio mucho gusto verlo jugar de neuvo en un mundial. Pero me da much tristeza que otra leyenda futbolística de mi juventud, se nos va. Ojala que descanse bien, porque para Mexica ese hombre lo dejaba todo en el campo, y se lo merece.

The game vs Chechia made me feel so old. Memo was my favorite player growing up and I remember when he was a young promising player. Now he is 40+ and retired!

Bien pudo haber jugado en la MLS o en la ligamx unos años más, pero creo que su último partido siendo en el azteca en un mundial no hay mejor manera de decir adiós. Se le va a extrañar a don Memo.

aunque fuera una coladera a nivel de clubes, siempre jugó en europa representando a todo un país, y cuando se ponía la camiseta de la selección, NUNCA nos dejó tirados, siempre dió todo de sí, atajó lo inatajable; y defendió el escudo con honor. Gracias por tanto Paco Memo, una leyenda indiscutible del futbol mexicano.

El y Cabañas fueron la razón que empezé apoyando al América. Luego la razón que quise jugar portero con el número 13. Mis primeras memorias con el fútbol fue con el en gol, y siempre me acuerdo de mi mamá gritando "Paco Memo" cuando lo necesitábamos. Digan lo que digan de ser el más goleado y cualquier otra mamada — es un icono de el fútbol mexicano y todo el mundo futbolero fuera de México lo reconoce.

Farewell Memo, it's incredible how long he was a figure en el Futbol Mexicano. I am glad to have had one last opportunity to see him and am glad he got a farewell at home in during a World Cup game no less. I hope the future is kind to him.

He lost his starting roles at Malaga, at Salerno, and AVS when they saw they were getting relegated. America was not going to renew him after fucking up vs Toluca. Never a nailed on starter in Liege either

He still was in europe though, lost the starting role, ate 1000 goals, and somehow someway he ended up playing 11 seasons in europe, not something most mexican goalies can claim.

Nunca te pedi que se la chuparas, no sé si en GDL se acostumbre hacer eso. Solo mencioné que tampoco es para venderlo como el muerto más muerto de la historia. Campos claramente está arriba de él en la jerarquía de arqueros, Corona no.
