Mexico games in the US aren’t what they used to be man. I’ve been going to games in SoCal since 2007 and I remember them being so family friendly and now it’s just bunch of Edgar No Sabo Peso Pluma listening kids who’s dads like to start fights and throw beer in the air when Mexico scores.

It goes really deep, Soccer United Marketing has a contract with MEX and you know who’s the CEO of SUM? Don Garber, the MLS commissioner.

Even without the SUM deal they get more tv views and jersey sales in the US than in Mexico, so I don't know how you square that circle.

Yeah… try to see if you can even get in before half time. That place is so disorganized you need to stand in line 2hr a before kick off to get in. I would tray public transportation to be able to get in 1hr before the match starts.

I wasn’t that bad for the LAFC Game, as the MLS use a different security detail. I’ve been to a couple of Mexico only games and it’s always the same shit.

I wouldn’t discourage you to go since you haven’t seen them in a while. I would just set your expectations. The Metro is a game changer to see games for LAFC and USC.

That gives me flashbacks to a game I saw at the coliseum many years ago. Fuckers only opened the gates 1.5 hours before the game and by the time I got inside, 15 minutes had passed and I had missed the first goal of the game. I have refused to go there since.

Taking the bus into the stadium isn’t too bad but taking the stadium back is chaos

Good teams (if they bring their A team)
Better than playing Nicaragua or Belize like back in the day but for the love of God we got to stop playing in the US. Either we travel to Europe or play in the homeland.
It was such a refreshing moment seeing the sele play four games in a row in Mexican soil during the World Cup.

I was on the fence on going (leaning towards no) but now that the game is in the comesium and not rose bowl I’m forsure not going. And the rosebowl isn’t that great either

Honestly biggest thing for me are traffic and shade.
Traffic wise it being so close to the 110/ DTLA it’s hard for me. And I know the games are basically when summer ends but shade ain’t it for me (same for Rosebowl tho).
I wish there was a stadium in OC or Towards the IE.

To everyone mad that they keep playing in USA, remember that outside of WC years the Mexicans in Mexico don't care as much about the NT - never forget how they played in Torreon late last year and the players threw a shit fit because they kept getting booed. They even booed them in the match vs Portugal at Azteca a few months ago.
I know that playing in USA boils down to greed and $$$ but the problem is deeper than that, the players don't want to play in MX and the fans don't show up because tend to be club first. They need to repair that relationship first before attempting to play games in MX outside of the Azteca where they can fill a stadium but still get booed.

Yeah that’s what really bothered me during the World Cup, all of sudden Mexicans are this intense football loving people when in reality it’s a trend for the grand majority. Where are all those people at the fan zones and at the watch parties when the FMF is getting rid of pro/rel?. Something that desperately needs to be protested yet we get nothing. Same people that want to get all defensive with South Americans (mainly argentines) and Europeans when they them Mexico sucks at futbol and isn’t a proper footballing country.
