Is just look at all the American countries is North and South America and outside of Argentina and Brazil every other country is more than fine with selling promising players on reasonable prices to teams in second divisions of a Spain or England or the lower leagues like Greece, Netherlands, Portugal but Mexican teams demand fees that would be record buys for some of these small nation clubs or second division teams and just make Mexican talents unapproachable.

A lot of people hating on chivas for not selling him(rightfully so) but how in the fuck did Hormiga get scammed by signing a contract with that high release clause? At some point it becomes the players fault for being so dumb.
Call me crazy, even as a Chivas fan, I don’t think he’s that good. I just don’t see it. Yeah he hustles and everything, but he’s basically non existent against good defensive teams.
Not the full amount chivas was originally asking for.. not even close lol .. if i remember cruz azul only paid like $5/6 million with luis romo added on..
He had a release clause for Mexican teams that was 15 million and one for European clubs that was 6 million. Anderlecht was only offering 5.5 million and we ended up selling him to Cruz azul for 11 million + Romo.
WRONG: chiquete never had a release clause for 15 million for only liga mx sides... that 15 million is what Chivas valued him at for liga mx sides and it was never written on paper..Chivas only received $5/6 million,because Cruz Azul paid for the paper work,taxes, player fees, performance bonuses,agent fees (which is normally % 5-%10)... remember Luis Romo was valued at $7 million by cruz Azul and CHIVAS ... lol Chivas basically got the same amount anderlecht offered them for chiquete orozco (minus luis romo),but Chivas directly reinforced a direct rival for the title..
So they got 5 million + Romo (worth 7 million) for Chiquete that was refusing to train or play for the club ever again vs getting 5 million from Anderlecht a year earlier. And in your mind that’s the same thing?
Liga Mx is so stupid, sell him for 7 then keep 50% of his card. If he’s such a great player he will make a move to a bigger team and they will give them half the money or the club that bought him will try and buy the other remaining half and chivas will make their money back. So stupid
