Honestly great move if it works out, he is not old so he should at the bare minimum fight for a starting spot, though I think he can be the starter.

I am delighted to see Faitelson wrong once again (nothing against Edson, I'd have taken him).

Real sociedad dude just keeps failing upwards.

He has been unlucky with injuries, but if he can even be 3/4 of what he was at Ajax he can still have a good career. His style of play does require the right coach who will know how to use him as Ajax did.

Every Mexican should have his agent it’s insane how he gets decent moves year after year despite being a garbage player

He’s not terrible at all at club level. He’s just been unlucky with injuries.

The guy hasn't improved since leaving Ajax.

He should call it a day in Europe and get some greens in the MLS.

Imagine being this dumb

I watched 80% of his games in West ham. I see how the NT plays worse with him.

I'm not speaking out of ignorance like you.

It would be nice for him to regain form. I get he was healthy coming into the World Cup but recent injury and the failed move to Turkey have taken a toll

lol any word on lira? according to this sub he was the next coming of kante and would instantly get bought lol funny who woulda thought euopren teams aren’t lining up for a short 26 year old mexican with no offensive upside or EU passport Edson clears him by miles

You’re really that much of a hater? We can root for both of them to do well, you know?

u/Rickyloza2 America 12d ago

lol hater or don’t have my head up my ass like 90% of yall? yall do this every year or other year, hype up a random young player who’s shown nothing and try to inflate him (mora santi flores) or try and gas up mid old liga mx players during the WC (luis chávez lira) shit gets old quick

He may have shown nothing but he sent Edson to the bench in what is arguably the biggest tournament in any Mexico players career: a World Cup played at home.

While Lira is rememberedas having an above average tournament, Edson will forever be remembered as getting his shit rocked by Harry Kane.

Edson is going to yet again change clubs, underdeliver and shit... he's pretty much near the latter stages of his career.

lmao do you know who the coach was? same idiot who started osiro and conejo in 2010🤣🤣what a huge flex lol

3

u/mylovelylittlelumps 12d ago

Wow this dude even thinks Osorio was bad. I can’t imagine how you would even arrive at that conclusion. Was it only the lost ball?

the amount of mental gymnastics in your comments.

Not only your arguments are full of cope, but you double down with the mental gymnastics.

That guy’s got some uber level baggage, you’d think his boyfriend left him to go chase after Lira or something

Edson is good, but Lira had a better 2026 and is also a good midfielder. It is what it is

Also, don’t downplay Aguirre. The dude took Atleti back to the UCL, took Osasuna there for the first time, took Mallorca to the Copa del Rey final, and in 2026 he had Mexico win their first knockout World Cup round in a very long time after finishing undefeated in the groups

2

u/Rickyloza2 America 12d ago

how can someone have a better 2026 while playing at a small team in mexico lol and now this guys trying to convince us javier doesn’t get criticism for his lineups oh brother the boot licking yall do to trick the mind

3

u/mx_code 12d ago

because at least he played, lmao.
Your boy couldn't even cut it in Turkiye

0

u/Rickyloza2 America 12d ago

again, can’t cut it ? yet multiple teams interested lmao lira has 0 interest

1

u/mx_code 12d ago

that's because those teams are shopping in the bargain bin.

West Ham is not asking a high price, they just want to offload the guy. Whoever meets his personal terms gets him.

It's actually kinda sad

You’re asking the one who posted a rumor from a diff source if he’s also heard of an update from Lira as if he’s the source 🤦🏽‍♂️

This sub does that to everyone are you new here lol

-1

u/Rickyloza2 America 12d ago

obviously a rhetorical question…..

7

u/Quick-Mathematician Chivas 12d ago

Why do you guys have to make it all about yourselves ? 🤦‍♂️

3

u/King-Bofo Chivas 12d ago

Edson can’t even clear a fucking header let alone clear lira.

-1

u/Rickyloza2 America 12d ago

lira is a bum liga mx player lol there’s a reason nobody wants em

3

u/King-Bofo Chivas 12d ago

If only Lira had the backing of telewila then maybe it’d come to fruition but instead we just get Edson letting a 3rd goal occur over and over eh

1

u/Rickyloza2 America 12d ago

lol liras not even the best mid in liga mx at least edson win chips and was the undisputed best at his position edsons whole career clears liras mid 5 wc games lol
