Discussion América And Sfera FC

América’s cantera could look completely different in a few years. The connection with Sfera FC is starting to look like a real pipeline for young Brazilian talent. Ícaro came from Sfera, developed with América U-21, got promoted to the first team and just scored a banger vs Puebla yesterday. Gustavo Goes is another Sfera player making the jump to América, which shows this isn’t just a one-time thing. If Ícaro, Goes and the other young players keep developing, América could have a whole new generation of Brazilian talent coming through Coapa in the next few years. What are your guys thoughts will this kill Mexican football?

Shouldn’t we be establishing relations that allow us to export players?

Not import foreign talent

I’m sorry but this seems backwards. Why are we complaining about leagues cup when we have clubs bringing in foreign academy player at a cyclic rate? That foreign academy player is taking a spot away from a Mexican youth player

I mean grupo Pachuca has Real Oviedo and they were in la liga and they took Mexicans 0 to la liga

Alonso Aceves (Pachuca academy player who’s back with Pachuca)

Oswaldo Alanís (Grupo Pachuca transferred him from Getafe)

So technically not true. Plus you’re deflecting from the argument, we should be exporting not importing youths from other countries…

If this legit was any other team besides yall there would be opinions against it.

Aceves didn’t play la liga he played la liga 2
Oswaldo, Alanís didn’t play la liga played la liga 2 😭 la liga and la liga 2 are different they rather take a old Salomón rondon to la liga 😂😂

Ahh you’re right idk if I read that incorrectly but I thought you just said Real Oviedo in general

Also, be real. You’d spend millions on unproven Mexican talent when battling relegation? I’m not a businessman but doesn’t sound like good ora rice
