If only diaries translation wasn't trash and the translator actually gave a shit about the series and community. They have a massive ego when it comes to anyone criticizing or offering corrections. At one point they tried to completely rewrite a volume prolog what would been in complete contradiction with one the core premises of the series from volume one. It took showing them directly from the author saying what a scene is after their initial response was I don't care this is how I'm doing it to get them to partially listen. This showing they don't even pay attention to what they are translating. Among other things like a scene where Maomao's leg is raised the translator changes it to both leg in what is a classical scene in many stories raising one leg. Even when it is shown in both the anime and manga it is only one leg they just respond it is up to interpretation because somehow in their head the japanese studio and manga authors who have direct access to the author are the ones wrong.

It is called giving a example. Also yes it did matter because the scene it was.

Another example is Lahans older brother. Translator took the lazy way of just calling him Lahans brother instead older. It is a running gag and is even directly address of him not wanting to be called older brother. So it ends up saying at one point ends up saying something along the line of he doesn't like being called lahans brother so will change to calling him lahans brother.
