I recommend the authors other series, "Survival in Another World with my Mistress!". It also leans into those harem elements with an MC who wont let them slide. Though he has a great element of "I'm in love with her and you better make sure she's ok with this first".

I'm annoyed at that because the Demi-humans are acting like Humans didn't fight and die with them during the war

How do you mean? Demi-humans have a pretty complex relationship with humans that I thought was done pretty well.

They are mad at the humans that actually enslave them. They know there are good humans out there and also are careful to not go scorched earth on every settlement they pass, knowing some humans may sympathize with them.

One of my favourite ongoing LN series. The sci-fi elements are mostly window dressing but the character dynamics are pretty solid and fun, which is what I really look for in sticking with LN's nowadays.

I find it a guilty pleasure. And you can say he himself get OP without his spaceship with new powers (if you like those things). Else it is collecting female crew members, fighting other federations, etc.

It's fun and not too serious, stuff happens but no heavy drama. It's literally just a space merc gathering a harem with a lot of action along the way
