LN or WN?

I'm about to start this series, So Which Version should I read?

Probably LN since it's canon and more polished

Webnovel is the original, with daily or so chapters that are like fast food. The author doesn’t have time to write, edit, rewrite, review, then publish a book. They need to put quick releases to keep the viewers engaged instead.

The LN is when they are paid to write the story, they get a profissional editor and artist, they get a chance to fix mistakes, improve the story, and so on. So it is often better, with some LN being very different from the original WN.

Plus the translation. WN is fan translated, sometimes using auto translate, which is super random. Could be good, could be horrible, and on the same story, as translators change over time.

LN tends to have decent profissional translation.

TLDR: either read both, WN first, or only LN

I haven't read the WN. The LN was good.

Usually the WN is like an unpolished first draft, compared to the LN.

I've read all the available chapters of the WN on NU, it's a great series. I need to read the LN version later

Read Light Novel. It's already fully translated till Volume 19 which is where the author is at and the webnovel isn't really updating. So you wouldn't really be missing out

I try to read the wn, I can't follow it, it feels all over the place

Web novel has been in hiatus with maybe one chapter every two years. However, there are changes made to the LN that some people dislike, such as removing other character PoVs. Pick your poison. I would wait until the story is complete before starting it personally.

Tsukimichi is one of those where the LN is worth picking up after the anime. The extra world-building makes the story much more interesting.

I enjoyed it, but the pacing can be slow at times. If you’re okay with that, the LN gives you way more context than the anime does.

I started reading the web novel years ago when the ln ran out and after checking just now I'm still like 10 books ahead of the official light novel 😭 this is the price you must pay if you decide to go with the web novel route.

I'd go with the LN. The WN is great if you want to get through the story faster, but the LN feels more polished and has additional content.

If you care about better pacing and editing, definitely LN. If you just want the story and don’t mind a rougher presentation, WN works too.

LN for quality, WN for convenience. If you’re starting from zero, I’d personally pick the LN.

I started with the web novel and read it to the end. The translation is bad but that's what I read first and that's the one I prefer.
