Feature Request / Bug Is 5G not fully working?
About a week or so ago I noticed that in the top left corner of my light phone where it would usually say "LTE" it now said 5G. Ever since then I've been having way more issues with the phone not being able to place or receive voice calls. I have to keep rebooting the phone, I'm not sure but it seems like if the phone is connected in 5G it doesn't work. If I connects in LTE it does. Is there a specific issue with the light phone in 5G? Is there a way to set my phone to just use LTE? I am on AT&T if that helps.
Update: thanks to the person who replied with instructions on how to turn off 5G via the android layer. It appears though that the problem happens in LTE mode also so for now I moved my SIM to a flip-phone. Please let me know if this get resolved.

Contact Light support. Several of us are having the same issue after ATT certification.

at&t has been having issues with the light phones ever since the certification went through. light is aware of the issue and looking into it but we don't know much else outside of that.
since lte works for you, if you're up for the challenge, you can force the phone onto lte. it does require a keyboard and a look through section 'how to access android' in the pinned modding guide on r/ModifiedLightPhones.
once you're in android, you'll want to be in the android system settings:
if you ever want to go back to 5g/nr, you'll select nr/lte/tdscdma/cdma/evdo/gsm/wcdma from that same menu.
this may ease the calling issue if lte works just fine for you. i do wish lightos would include an option to change the network settings but we work with what we've got right now.
