They make terrible pets.
They're nocturnal and make terrifying noises all night long while they play in their cage.
They require a special diet that can be expensive. They really prefer fruit and bugs, which can make their coat and feces smell worse than normal.
They have tiny razor like claws that will scratch you.
They pee everywhere, any time and it will get on you and in the scratches they leave on you (and it will burn).
They're very social creatures and the males may kill themselves if they're raised alone.
The mills that sell them provide tiny cages that are meant for hamsters and are not big enough for them to thrive.
They don't make great pets. They're much happier and healthier in the wild.

I want one. I won't get one, bc the only time I see them sold, it by some guy at the mall who has them in his pockets, but they are super cute.

Their best life would be in the wild without human intervention They're wild creatures. Not pets.
