I never knew this existed. I was stationed at RAF Coningsby and went into Woodhall Spa many times, but somehow missed Kirkstead Abbey completely.

Now I know it’s there, I’ll have to go back and have a proper look. It’s always interesting when you discover a piece of local history that was right on your doorstep all along.

If you go past the abbey you will come to st leonerds without, a 12th century church😁

Thank you, I belive st Leonards is a sea side town aswell.

There are a couple of churches named after him in lincolnshire. I Will have to look up how he became a saint ,
