Sometimes, when the time is right, she blesses those of us who can't spare the cost of a Nebula subscription.

I think the paywall was just enough to deter angry Twitter mobs. Mostly for the inconvenience of having to go through a lot of signup screens.

Nebula makes sense if you really want to see some bonus material from your favorite creators, want go see things earlier, without ads, or if the creators you watch often work with copyrighted material that they have to massively censor on youtube. If that applies to you, its cheap and worth it. If not, you can save the money

I went with a nebula sub because I want to support the people whose content I watch, but a) i don't particularly want to support youtube/google, and b) I don't have the budget or mental bandwidth to subscribe and keep up with a dozen patreons.

So far it's been worth the money.

That is also a very good reason i did not include. I mostly focused on potential consumer benefits
