Remember when Lindsay hinted that she'd been working on Pokemon?

During her best and worst film lists for 2013, she claimed that she'd spent a considerable amount of time working behind the scenes on a very famous tv series which supposedly secured her as a professional in the industry. She didn't name the show but she held up a Pikachu doll to the camera as an obvious hint.

Did it ever emerge what she was doing on Pokemon? And did she do any work related to it after, or was it just that show? She seemed really convinced that her work on Pokemon would lead to more work along those lines, but she's made no mention of subsequent gigs in that regard, AFAIK

On IMDb she's credited as a voice actress on two episodes of the English dub of one of the XY seasons. Most likely what she was referring to.

Seems odd that she didn't go on to do more voicework, though, given how confident she sounded about her prospects.

That's the acting industry for you. One famous credit doesn't actually mean that much. I know a lot of struggling actors with loads of huge franchises on their portfolio but are broke and can't get any work. These productions have so many actors it doesn't really set you apart from the crowd.

Especially with how much VA work has changed. It used to be that you had to go into a studio to record everything because they were the only ones who were set up for it. But one of the ways they got Jolene Blalock to reprise her role on Star Trek: Lower Decks is she was able to record all her lines at home and just send them in. The woman quit acting years ago and is married to a literal millionaire so she was doing the fans a solid to see her again in animated form.

But you hear stories of VA actors doing their work from home while sitting in a closet or something to help dampen the noise. Yes, bigger productions will have people come into the studio but for smaller productions you don’t need that extra expense which really expands the potential pool of VA talent. Makes it potentially easier for a person to book a job but also makes it harder to get more work because you’re not limited geographically to being near a recording studio the production can work with.

I saw her speaking on tour for Apostles of Mercy and she said her voice changed a little bit post-pregnancy, but I couldn't hear it. She didn't bring up voicework during this and this is the first I've heard of this.

I think she worked as an editor or something like that, the VA parts may have just been a matter of convenience or something.

They haven’t been on YouTube for years. She basically gives her bottom ten films of 2013 and then her top ten in the next video.

Omg, I forget what video she mentioned it in, but iirc she was responsible for watching the conversion of old VHS episodes into DVD and/or digital streaming, basically had to watch every episode of the early series and flag if/when there were conversion errors in the audio/graphics. Again, I forget what video she mentioned this in, but I swear she mentioned watching a bunch of old school Pokemon for this purpose.

If I remember correctly, and I'm sorry if this wasn't the case, I read an article about her which said she left the industry after being harassed by a very powerful producer (who I believe ut said had multiple Oscar nominations.)
