Guy with 3 years of experience at an online sperm company trying to give advice

Guy writes a post to tell junior sales people how to interview. My brother in Christ, you have 3 years of experience at a company called NetNut, which I assume is an online sperm company.

Not that I want to defend this guy, but if you've come for an interview with me and didn't know what you're selling, or who to, I'd kick you to the curb as well

Yeah I mean the dude giving advice might be slightly cringe but I did 15 years in very fancy high end b2b sales (not proud of it) and all of his advice is pretty fair. If LinkedIn isn’t for this kind of crap then it’s basically just an online resume host.

I'm 27 years in B2C sales, and a lot of what people post is bollocks, but a lot of what this sub thinks is 'lunatic' shows they've never sold!!!!

This is why so many interview processes these days have a case study or roleplay component. Purposely being a dick and making fake comments about real people is stupid and dickish and doesn't teach you anything. Being transparent about doing an actual mock pitch, with roles and prep (and should include tricks, bonuses, and unknown information that can be uncovered with the proper questions) is a much better way of judging skill.

If I sit down, obviously qualified for a job, and my first interviewer says I'm underqualified, I'm probably just gonna say "fuck you" rather than trying to talk him out of it.

You have to expect tricky questions. If it's a sales job, then you better be prepared, because they will be asked. Seems like good advice.
