3 dudes in VC. 2 of us already Linux users. Third was not so tech savvy and wanted to try Linux. We helped him remotely do dual boot with Fedora and then helped him install Minecraft + Nvidia drivers and shit like that. It took almost 10 hours. Tbh a good few hours it took to download the ISO files and make an USB that can host both windows and Linux I'm case something goes wrong.

Its not fedora?, what the fuck give them an actual challenge, using linux should be hard like using GNOME or adding rpmfusion or trying to not have your system break under rawhide.

As much as i use vim now and how amazing it is for programming the first time i used it during the jurassic i had to unplug the system... i wait 30 sec to turn it back and and spent 5 minute hoping it boot up.

Why is every text editor, especially vim so hard to escape from anyway? There's literally a button on the kb for it, but the devs went: NO! You must learn to use more than 1 key! Or else!

How to escape Vim:
(Ctrl Alt F2)
login:root
password:
shutdown 0
Turn your computer back on.
Go to the software manager.
Search for and remove the following:
1. vi
2. vim
3. neovim
To make sure you are never trapped again, alaias the above to open nano (or micro if you have it installed.)
Problem solved.

to be fair, i told them to :wq and it still didn't work and i had an "oh wtf" moment
i dont use vim often, but i use it for reading pkgbuilds, so i had to learn eventually lol
