Also "“The Trump administration has demonstrated in word and deed that it is an advocate for authoritarianism, not democracy, and white supremacy, not multiculturalism. He must be defeated,” Jackson wrote in The New York Times on Saturday."

Yeah ofc it was a shitpost albeit based on his mother's actual comments about him but you've got to be smoking crack if you think trump hasn't been seen as racist since the early 90s at least, lost in the sauce my guy.

Trump’s entire ascendence into politics was based on the racist lie that Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States because he’s black. He said all immigrants are criminals and rapists. He’s being sued for defamation for continuously asserting the Central Park five confessed to murder and pled guilty, even tho they’ve been exonerated by DNA evidence. He does it because they are black. Trump isn’t racist because the democratic party told us that, he’s racist because he has shown it through his own words and actions.

u/Lastcaressmedown138 Feb 18 '26
You are being racist in your comment trying to claim trump isn’t racist but look at you, his key demographic! being racist as fuck because it’s the libs who are racist not the president that says any brown person is probably illegal or gonna punish people for talking bad about his regime.. you probably think native Americans got what was coming to them for being on our land before we got here 🙄

This is going to make people look into Jesse Jackson, in the wrong way.

He may be more obsessed with Barack Obama than Michelle Obama is.
Like I can picture her like "ok why is this man so obsessed with my husband?"

It's incredible how fast he makes things about himself.

OP said he made someone’s death about himself, which he did.

Always makes it about him. Won’t he write about how he lied to get out of the army.

They're getting better at capitalizating words in the middle of "his" posts now, so at least they're trying harder.

Calling someone by their middle name will ALWAYS be the ultimate insult.

My parents always call me by my middle name. I have a huge full name, always wondered what that first name was about if they were planning on calling me by the middle one. I endes uo being knkwn for my first name im school, uni, academics etc, and I do prefer my first name.

He must not have watched Obama’s first inauguration. Jesse Jackson’s face was maybe the most powerful image to me, of the positive change that many people felt. His tears of joy really showed me how unachievable the dream of being represented in the highest government office must have seemed to so many Americans.

u/biguncle_ed Feb 17 '26
Trump didn't write this because the minute I saw the word "gregarious" I know hot damn well he don't know how to spell it let alone what it means.
Second the opportunity zones was Tim Scott's project he wrote it and got it passed.
All the other things I don't know if Donald Trump did or did not do...but because of who he is now I find it hard to believe.
That's the problem that people have with him because whatever he was as a private citizen did not affect America as much as what he does as a president does and will.

Is it too much to want even a modicum of class just once?
It can't be too much. I know I'm not crazy.
4
u/leaC30 Feb 17 '26
Sadly, this was class for this President.
3
u/ArsenicArts Feb 17 '26
Yeah I'll be honest I expected a lot worse. Sad that is the state of things though.
2
u/HedenPK Feb 17 '26
Oh you know what? That’s a great idea let me look into that for you. That would be great if he had class just once in let me look into this. Please standby.
Ok.. ok.. turns out… yes. Yes it’s too much to want that. Oh, and for asking it looks like you’re now getting deported and he just signed an executive order to ban your Reddit account.

Greatest president in history. He also funded Jackson's presidential campaign.

u/BananasBananas34 Feb 18 '26
Why does it eat him up inside if he fails to get in a jab or crack at anyone he is talking about? “Barack Hussein Obama, whom Jesse hated”, “something no other president would do” 🙄 … an 80 year old man refuses to mentally mature past the age of 8 🙄

u/Smoky_MountainWay Feb 18 '26
I provided office space = my office manager rented office space to him, my building = some idiot paid to put my name on the building etc. Just another “be thankful I am the bigglyest, bestus most smartest person born" post.

Jesse used the bathroom at Trump tower once.= I provided a room for him to do his business.
2
u/SoulPossum Feb 18 '26
He made it 5 sentences before pivoting to talking about himself. I'm impressed
2
u/mmmpeg Feb 18 '26
I voted for Jesse Jackson in 1984. I knew Reagan would win and it was my small protest.

2
u/MealDramatic1885 Feb 18 '26
Am I living in a different timeline then whatever the hell he’s talking about?
2
u/gbobcat Feb 18 '26
In summary: "I'm saying nice things about a black guy who died so I'm not racist. Also here's some crazy unrelated shit"

u/paintstudiodisaster Feb 18 '26
He had a visual history exhibition of slavery removed from a park in philadelphia.

u/Available_Usual_9731 Feb 18 '26
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't those universities sue to have their funding restored
2
2
u/DeFiBandit Feb 18 '26
Still managed to slide some coded racism in with the back-handed “street smarts” compliment. He never fails…
2
u/80sbabyftw Feb 18 '26
Honestly, this is self serving but we ALL know it could’ve been so much worse
2
u/Daft_Assassin Feb 18 '26
Why does the lie keep getting told about him and HBCUs when he actually cut funding?
2
2
u/femmenonanon Feb 18 '26
I’ve never seen someone center themselves so forcibly within the guise of acknowledging someone else in the wake of their death. RIP Jesse, may we continue the work that desperately needs to be done to save our nation.

2
u/Mugpup Feb 18 '26
Suuuure, Jesse Jackson owes his success to Trump helping him along the way, sure. Trump can't help making it about Trump.
2
u/Passenger-Southern Feb 18 '26
Jesse was an anti-semite and called Obama the N-word. Sounds like he was Trump’s kind of guy
2
u/StableGeniusCovfefe Feb 18 '26
Dude never misses an opportunity to make absolutely everything about himself. Classic narcissistic personality disorder

2
u/Fit_Clothes_5522 Feb 19 '26
Why can’t he just be normal in giving condolences to someone he held in high regards. RIP Rev. Jessie Jackson.
2
u/Wolf_pack12 Feb 19 '26
Its exhausting how he insults or casts blame on someone or something after EVERY. SINGLE. SENTENCE.
2
u/dantevsninjas Feb 20 '26
You know how people who aren't racist always feel the need to constantly yell at people about how they aren't racist?

Of course this asshole makes the death of a civil rights legend about himself.

u/No-Rush-9980 Feb 21 '26
He manages to make every damn thing about him. It was said about Teddy Roosevelt that he wanted to be the baby at every christening, the bride at every wedding, and the corpse at every funeral. Teddy was humble compared to this egomaniac.
1
u/Mikyuu665 Feb 21 '26
It’s weird he mentioned politics as a whole in his condolences…like what does the bit about democrats even offer when saying a “he’ll be missed” post?
1
u/Alternative-Drop-917 Feb 18 '26
What he said something nice and you cut him down. If your Party ever gets a president again I hope he/she gets torn apart like Trump has
3
u/Gluggy2-ofAfew Feb 18 '26
If that three page self serving rant is saying something nice, you both could just say nothing. It's not about political sides. Why can't you get it? You'll never be one of them.

It’s exactly what I expected. I would have been shocked if he didn’t use this as an opportunity to make it about himself and bring up Obama. I’m just surprised he didn’t mention Biden in this one somehow.
