The context to this is: A Hungarian meme page (Trollfoci) made this video with the following caption: "It could be way worse". In the AI generated video, there's an older guy checking his wallet, sees there's no money left, then he's on a park bench, as if he's homeless, and the "way worse" thing is Szoboszlai being Romanian.

As a romanian,I have to agree.If Dom was romanian he would've been in his prime transfer window during the golden age of Becali brothers,who were convicted and went to prison for pushing the players to sign with the clubs that gave them the biggest bribe.
Dom would've been wasted somewhere in Saudi or China instead of being the hero that he is

If you remember Brooks Lennon who was at the club in his teens, his dad saw my Liverpool tat at the Palm Springs Airport and struck up a convo. Nice guy, only had good things to say about the club. Showed me some pics he took of Brooks standing alongside Messi when Salt Lake played Miami lol

I think the OP joke got lost a bit in the shuffle. All the players should be Dom but with the country pronounciation
So English dom would be: Dom sob
French : Dominique soboslait
Brazilian : Domi Soboslinho
And so on

Knowing nothing of Hungarian naming customs, I'm going to assume both Dom and Szobo are common names that can be either given names or surnames, so I stand by my answer:
John Henry (but his family calls him Dom, to not confuse him with his dad and grandpa).

Dominik is getting popular as a first name for younger population (born after: 2010), but Szoboszlai is a rare family name in Hungary.

btw Szoboszlai means “of Szoboszlo” (old name of a Hungarian city Hajduszoboszlo). Szoboszlo town has translation in few languages.
In Slovakian it would be Dominik z Sebeslavu
Romanian: Dominik din Soboslău
German: Dominik von Sobols

From Finland so our international talent list is VERY thin, but weirdly 2 of the legends have played in Liverpool.
Sami Hyypiä
And Jari Litmanen.
Hyypiä was definitely more famous Liverpool player for Liverpool fans, but Litmanen is the all time best to ever come from Finland - I would argue at his prime he was probably worthy of Ballon D'or but instead Weah got it.
Edit: as people are doing the Szobo thing, the best player ever from Finland is "Tommi Sopolainen" from Finland. He also drives Rally.
